Very good movie, with great twists during the movie.
At first I was surprised by the events that the main character was having to do to continue his life.
Again I was surprised but this time not much (kind of expected) in the middle of the movie I believe he took desperate attitudes, but it was due to the situation he got into, but.... He could have done better in other decisions he made!
Already finishing the movie, he tried to help himself and help the family, but... I can't say lol, but the end of the movie was "emotional", summing up a good movie in the category he is in. I just thought I could have told you better about my children's lives.

This clever thriller really got me in and kept me guessing. It's the story of a devoted family man who takes the desperate measure to disappear in order to protect his wife and children from a ruthless loan shark. Much of the interest from that point in the movie comes from the brilliant acting by Joaquin Furriel who conveys the heartbreak of losing his family entirely through his demeanour and facial expressions. It's a sacrifice that I think few people would make. His new life, and that of his family unfold in very believable and poignant ways, but as you watch them there is a constant sense that the new arrangement can't last. The final part of the movie is gripping and ultimately surprised me. I thought that the ending was perfect, and like all really satisfying endings it was thought provoking, leaving me wondering how things would pan out from that point.

Not really a thriller but a drama, convincing drama but, yes, rather unbelievable. However, acting and directing are good and let us forget many unlikely scenes and situations. I doubt this movie was ever released in movie theaters, or in only a few ones. I don't know any of the actors, and the production design, overall atmosphere, were quite good enough for my taste. The ending is also worth the watch, and justifies to endure the whole film. Not a Hollywood like plot, that's the most important. Too many non American pictures try to imitate the US fashion. This is a sad story, not a super hero tale.

They did not do a good job of convincing us that the married couple was close. We see very little of their relationship before the big stuff happens. I don't think they told us what product the family company made. Why make them Jewish? They didn't sell the Jewish angle. I didn't believe it.
There is a large passage of time during which we see very little of what happens in people's lives. Was the grey beard meant as a disguise because the guy was planning to resurface, or just to show the passage of time? Couldn't he have trimmed it to look less homeless? As people mentioned, the women didn't look older.
I did feel the emotions of the main characters. That much was good. I was actually ok with the ending too. I know a lot of people hated it.
The kind of guy who let himself get into such debt, kept it from his family, and made the other decisions he made, would probably not know what to feel or do when facing the consequences of his actions. He waffled, caused more pain, and failed again.

Lets start with the good parts...
Okay! I'm finished!
Now the bad parts : the movie has no sense at all! There is no reason watching it. The idea of the story is not bad but the execution in my opinion is terrible... You wait the whole movie for something to happen and during the last scene you wish it's not gonna be the last scene... and yet IT IS! The only hope that you have that this movie will give you something is gone right there on the spot, together with the endind titles. Nothing intresting at all.
I honestly feel bad for the time i spent watching this... Poor poor poor... Don't waste your time :)

I don't recommend this, not even if you're bored and want to just turn something on. The whole time I kept thinking about how unrealistic the plot is. Not to mention frustrating because what was supposed to be the father sacrificing for the family, his actions in the movie were extremely egocentric. I couldn't get behind anything that he was doing... I have no idea who's the bad guy or good guy, or if there's even supposed to be any.
Literally no point to this film unless you want to feel annoyed.. Only reason it got stars is because I thought the production and etc were decent considering how bad the storyline is ..

I loved the plot, enticing, great plot. Most importantly the acting was superb. And best of all, the soundtrack. Whoever was in charge of the music deserves a raise. Hey, maybe music/ soundtrack isn't as important for you as it is for me... but if it is, and you like to hear some retro classics, definitely worth a watch! I am not a fan of spoilers, But this movie has it all, suspense, thriller, drama/romance and action. Part of me, wishes it was longer, but I also feel it was a beautiful ending, in my personal opinion.
Again, I especially loved the music/soundtrack and plot. Grab some popcorn and make it a movie night!

Taking advantage of the historical fact of the attack on AMIA (July 1994), the plot becomes a parade of unlikely things, something that no one would believe. Furthermore, there is an annoying stereotype in the main character's children that bothered me a lot. Do not waste your time. Completely unbelievable plot and unconvincing performances. In short, a rare mediocre Argentine film where the Jewish community is characterized as materialistic and enjoys showing off. And to make things worse, a friendly dog appears whose fate will remain unknown. The passage of time inhabits the things little explained in the film.

I just don't know what they were going for with this film. At first it was setting itself up quite nicely. A man under huge financial strain desperately looking for a way out. Then an event happens and from there on out the film completely flat-lines. It's like they thought - what is the least interesting way we could go about telling this story? And then proceeded to go about it.
Even towards the end, a mildly interesting situation arises, and I thought that this must've been what it was all building up to. The payoff they were hoping to justify everything with. But no, again they went about it in the least interesting way possible, before simply ending the film. It was really bizarre to watch.
This film wasn't for me. I was hoping for a little hidden gem on Netflix, but I didn't get it. 4/10.

It is one of the few Argentine films that is well directed explaining the plot, the outcome of the plot takes you very well and at the same time makes you understand the extreme decision that the protagonist made.
I think that the film fails to take advantage of the opportunity it has to play with the plot, make the suspense feel and at no point does it allow us to ask ourselves, what is going to happen now? He delves deeper into the plot in situations that are not so important and when he really has the opportunity to play with the audience, I think he makes the easier decision.
Good point: the actors stand out quite well.

Sergio is dealing with financial problems and a weakened state of health. In a stroke of fate, he has the opportunity to protect his family. The price? His permanent absence.
I miss Argentine cinema. It's been a while since I watched any of the Argentine films, which I love. I'm catching up with this wonderful film, a mix of dramatic mystery, which enchants and hypnotizes us despite its slow pace, which doesn't compromise the development or our interest in the plot, which takes shape as it progresses, with a good ending, focused and captivating. However, a dose of surprise and unpredictability would have given it more points...
