It is undoubtedly a great work by debutant director Hridi Huq. Mainly revolving around 2 neighbor families, and the interaction/reactions between their members during the crucial moments of Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971, this movie combines many historical facts with a mix of wonderful-melodious songs. As a whole, it successfully delivers its historical message, specially to the new and young generations, through an emotional as well as technically-modern artistic way.
In many ways, the movie helped people from older generations reminisce so many of their past memories during 1971. Also, there were many scenes/shots in the movie that were similar to some shots in old movies like Aguner Poroshmoni, Muktir Gaan and Guerilla.
Wishing all the best for Hridi Huq, keep it up!
