After a film producer is fired from his job, he runs into an old college roommate who has written the greatest script ever. A script so good, that if the movie was to be made, they'd win an Oskar for sure. The only problem is that he doesn't access to the money required to bring the special effects to life for such a script. Not a problem, when you can hire real monsters to star in your movie.
Objective rating: (2 out of 5) From a production stand point, the movie doesn't look or sound bad. There are even some edits, like how the main character gets in and out of the spirit realm that are charming.
The set up for the movie is pretty good and made me want to watch more of it.
The moments of comedy in this one didn't really work for me. None of it made me laugh, some of it made me smile, most of it left me indifferent.
The script gets worst the further the movie goes along and I thought it was stupid near the end of it. Also, the movie could have been edited down by ten minutes as it ran too long.
Subjective rating: (1 out of 5) The movie starts off promising enough but I found myself getting bored of it the further along it went. Near the end, I found myself pausing it to see how much more there was to sit through.
Overall rating: 3 out of 10.
