Growing up, Green was enamored with movies that combined live-action and animation such as "Space Jam", "Looney Tunes: Back in Action", and "Who Framed Roger Rabbit." He watched the bonus features for these films just as much as, if not more than, the actual movies themselves, so it was a childhood dream come true to tell a story in this way.
