Sooraj Mukhi was the debut film of lyricist Shardanand Tiwary as producer. Being a lyricist himself, he also invited his senior friend Yogesh, the then leading lyricist, to write songs for this movie. Yogesh gladly accepted the invitation; wrote two of the songs of this movie.
