When I saw ads of this show four years ago, I thought this series would only appeal to a girl demographic. But I was wrong. I find it decent and fairly enjoyable.
In the show, we have the title character Sheriff Callie, a cat who can do amazing things with that rope in her hangs. Other characters include Deputy Peck who's a stickler for rules, and Toby who is a cheerful walking cactus.
It's been four years since the show first aired, and I'm a bit surprised that there's not a single review here prior to this one. Well now there is.

Thought it might be cute. Honestly didn't give it much of a chance. First episode, the deputy is humble, the townsfolk do a HUGE musical number convincing the deputy to be proud of his ability, which turns him into a poor winner, suddenly they all act surprised and don't want him proud. We turned it off pretty quick. One bad person results in someone else doing something bad and only the second person gets in trouble and has to apologize.
My young daughter likes to watch this show with me. My husband and I like this show too. It teaches things like how it is wrong to steal or like in a kid friendly manner.

I actually saw Sheriff Callie's Wild West when it was new, and it was a neat idea for a preschool show. Taking place in the wild west, the show is about Callie (voiced by Mandy Moore), a calico cat who is sheriff of the town of Nice And Friendly Corners. Joined by her horse, Sparky, Peck, a red woodpecker who serves as deputy, and Toby, a kid who is a living cactus, Callie has many adventures, solving problems her friends may have and teaching lessons.
This was a good cartoon that sadly only lasted two seasons, but in my honest opinion, it should have gone on. Each episode contains two shorts, and each short tells a story that actually teaches a good lesson (one short, Toby Braves The Bully, teaches kids they're not going to be hated by their loved ones if they tell on a bully, and another, Peck Takes It Back, has Peck learn a lesson in name calling after he calls Toby a pinecone, leading the little guy to do something dangerous to find one. This is a show that actually teaches good manners and behavior, the basic social skills kids need to learn to be a good person. The voice acting is perfect and the music fits well. We need more shows like this to teach kids important lessons to counter cartoons that teach kids bad morals while disguising them under comedy.

I'm just gonna go right out and say this.
I think Sheriff Callie is my favorite Disney Jr. Character thanks to one of the greats, Mandy Moore! The writers picked the right actress for the title character.
Top 5 Episodes
5 - A Fistful of Flowers 4 - Callie's Blue Jay Blues 3 - Sparkys Lucky Day 2 - Sparkys Rival 1 - Callie's Got Trouble.
