What started as an innocent school story turned out to (for me) an emotional roller coaster ride. I thought the young actors - the high school students, were all amazing in their roles they played. If ever a joint award were to be given for best young actors portraying a team, the ATWL characters get my complete votes.
I was first taken by the story line as present, past and future continued to affect and impact the lives of these high school students who enjoyed life as best friends, who wanted to protect their friends and families from bullying and prejudices in society, who had to deal with illness, death, grief at a very young age. How everything in life affected them, made them mature, made them grow as young people in this world.
Why is it a roller coaster ride for me? Because the topic of family love - so pure, so tender, so gentle that enveloped JunHee - unconditional affection by both his grandma and his best friend, Ko You. Both were always there for JunHee no matter what.
The introduction of the young So Heon was akin to adding a catalyst amidst the youngsters to test their friendship and love. I have to say, I was quite affected by moments of such maturity from the young kids and wondered where our real world went wrong in terms of actual life, affection and unselfishness.
I think this drama needs to be credited more fir it's storyline, characterisation and amazing acting spirit if the entire cast.
