Russ Giguere, the lead singer of the classic rock band, The Association, plays one of the Hollywood tourists in the film.
Irish singer Cara Dillon, who performs "Bright Morning Star" on the soundtrack of the film, was nominated for BBC Folk Singer of the Year 2015. Timothy B. Schmit of The Eagles also sings on the track, a traditional Appalachian spiritual arranged by Cara Dillon and Sam Lakeman.
The film has been named "Best Feature" at the 2016 Eurovision Palermo Film Festival, "Best Narrative Feature" at the 2016 Malta International Film Festival, and "Best Foreign Feature" at the 2016 Kiev Film Festival," as well as winning the "Best Director Spotlight" award at the 2016 Hollywood Reel International Film Festival and "Best Director" at the 2017 Vancouver Filmdance Festival.
