So, was this script written with only one thought in mind? Every line of chat has to contain the maximum amount of acronyms and abbreviations! Seriously, does anyone really chat like that? I mean, ds ne1 rly cht lyk that?! In an sms, about 10 years ago, maybe.. but in online chat rooms and stuff? Looks forced is all I'm saying. And stupid.
Other than that.. Uhm, the movie is unfortunately quite boring. Not a lot happens. The story is not very interesting. That one web-cam chick there is pretty hot, and you know.. you feel kind of like a pervert for thinking so.
I would just not recommend this movie to anyone, really. If you love horror-ish movies about chatting and web-stuff, then perhaps, but there are still a lot of better choices out there. Unfriended/cybernatural is a much better pick.
Kind of a shame with this movie, because it is pretty well made. Just way to boring. The few "action-scenes" we get, are good. But they are few. Like, very few. Matter fact, where is the horror at all!? The acting is uneven, to say the least. It is a problem when a movie you expect to be horror, instead focuses on the "drama", as if to say: hey, we have a small budget, but we can make a gripping movie none the less! No, you can't.
Movies are made to entertain, that is their only purpose. So, when a movie is boring to the point of not being entertaining, well, that movie has pretty much failed, no? Yes. So pick another movie.

Cam2Cam (2014) is a movie that I caught on Tubi last month. The storyline follows a young lady whose sister was brutally murdered in a Bangkok apartment. The sister moves into the same apartment, gets to know the residents and retraces her sisters footsteps. When a woman helping her disappears in a similar fashion to her sister she knows she's close to uncovering the killer...but how close?
This movie is directed by Joel Soisson (Maniac Cop 3) and stars Tammin Sursok (Pretty Little Liars), Ben Wiggins (The Witcher), Sarah Bonrepaux (The ABCs of Death), Jade Tailor (Aquarius) and Russell Geoffrey Banks (The Hangover Part II).
This movie was better than I anticipated and kept my attention until the final scene. The storyline is actually pretty solid and being filmed in Bangkok gave it additional elements that were interesting. Jade Tailor was absolutely smoking and the opening kill was solid with great blood splatter. I also liked the use of the monkey. The ax kills were also pretty good and the scene in the street with the police tracking him was awesome. Most of the date scenes and confessions felt unnatural and unrealistic, whether the character is telling the truth or lying. There is some worthwhile twists in this but I must say I didn't love the very ending.
Overall, this has some redeeming elements that make it worth a watch. I would score this a 5-5.5/10 and recommend seeing it once.

People go to Thailand to act on their most extreme fantasies, in Cam2Cam that includes serial killing.
Bangkok, Thailand is thought to be the destination for any tourist hoping to explore and act on the most taboo kink and fetish. An American tourist named Allie goes to Bangkok and meets a group of performers on a sex website Cam2Cam. These twisted twenty somethings are keeping a sinister secret from Allie.
With such debaucherous and sexually depraved themes, Cam2Cam is pretty flat and unconvincing. The film opens on a girl instant messaging and video chatting with someone and quickly turns cliché. This scenes marks the tone for the deaths and murders in Cam2Cam; they are gruesome and savage and yet they do not translate to a sense of horror.
Joel Soisson attempts to capture the Bangkok atmosphere to add to the tone of the film. It is an admirable attempt but the story created by Marie Gautier and Davy Sihali just does not translate into a feature film. Originally a short film from 2008, as a full length film the 2014 version drags on, stretching a filler filled 91 minutes.
The way characters instant message in this movie is extremely distracting. It is very inaccurate and almost as if an alien observed behavior and said 'this is how humans computer.' An example: "put yr kamra bak on'. It is a minor detail but when the minor details are so flawed you know the rest of the film is going to be atrocious and it is.
The acting is not great, but it also did not bother me as much as the entirety of the plot. Casting of Sarah Bonrepaux as the seductive and charismatic Marit was on point. The rest of the roles were cast in a very stereotypical horror movie kind of way, lots of pretty people: Tammin Sursok, Ben Wiggins and Jade Tailor included.
Cam2Cam is overall a disappointing and unremarkable film that tries to capitalize on its environment and only exacerbates its drawn out plot.

Well, I will say that "Cam2Cam" started out interesting enough, I mean as it deals with the topic of people spying on you on webcam and the internet and pretending to be someone they're not.
And then when someone was killed and beheaded I thought yeah okay this movie could be good fun. Well, that was just not to be.
The movie quickly cascaded into becoming boring, pointless and just downright ridiculous. It was so hard to the the storyline and script that writers Marie Gautier, Davy Sihali and Joel Soisson had put together seriously.
And little did it help that the characters in this 2014 movie were essentially just faceless mannequins milling about with almost no material to work with. I could not honestly put my finger on any single character and claim to have had an interest. I am sure that the actors and actresses were doing good enough jobs with their performances, but they literally had nothing to work with.
"Cam2Cam" quickly lost its appeal and just sunk into pointlessness. In fact, it grew so stale and boring that I actually ended up giving up on it. And I honestly have no intention whatsoever of ever returning to finishing the movie.
If you enjoy thrillers or horror, do yourself a favor and give "Cam2Cam" a wide berth.
My rating of director Joel Soisson's movie lands on a generous two out of ten stars, based mostly on the production value and editing of the movie.

From the plot summary of this movie I thought it was going to an intriguing thriller. Turns out it's short on thrills, making it more a non-thriller. Dull, listless with a plot that's half-baked. Not watchable at all.
This movie has its moments when you are at the edge of your seat, but then it can't keep the suspense going as it loses direction at times which way to go next with the plot.

.. get? No pun intended and probably not entirely true in this case. I have not done cam thing yet, but everyone knows what it is. Women are obviously more vulnerable in those interactions - unfortunately. And the beginning shows that quite vividly. But while you may think you know where this is going ... well it may surprise you.
For better or worse that is. Because the movie is quite ... well it may feel weird and strange in the direction it decides to go. I do like that it gets less predictable - on the other hand, you may feel lost in the plot and with the characters and who is who ... and why they are ... and why they do, you know things. But this is a horror movie, not everything has to make sense. Not as titilating as you may expect with a title like that - just be aware of that and you may be good watching this.
