Sometimes, you overlook minor flaws while focusing on the bigger picture. "Sirf Ek Banda Kaafi Hey" is one of those movies that will show you what courage can do and how a common lawyer can shake the mighty, so-called God figure. A few of the dialogues may seem cliché; however, if you look at the final product, you can see the honesty and intent with which the movie was made. The story revolves around a minor rape victim fighting against a mighty Baba with thousands of followers. "Sirf Ek Banda" tries to shed light on the problems of our society and the issues related to blind-eyed devotion. Personally, I would have loved it if the story had focused more on the girl's narrative rather than turning it into a total courtroom drama. Nevertheless, the movie is good overall. It will shake you to the core and demonstrate why the POCSO Act is a good legal framework as well.

Well just watched this movie and feeling like this movie should realsed in big screen because it's has potential to get audiance. But still they done grate job to deliver this masterpiece. Acting is class and event are also great and all the scenes is done in court room. The dialogue are grate the last will win your hearts. The way Manoj sir act was grate he is German of this movie the way his attack the opponent by just talking is grate. I want to movie to understand what actually happened really but they showed that what right the main thing they they deliver this movie for us audiance grateful to watch.

The lack of tension due to the simplification of the actual case does pang a bit but if you overlook this lack of substantial drama and surplus of melodrama, SIRF EK BANDAA KAAFI HAI is a thematically timely, emotionally powerful film that's brilliantly directed, superbly written and gracefully acted.

Special shoutout to the scene where Manoj Bajpai converses with his mother on the terrace while being emotional, and his mother uplift his spirits while reminding her of a poem she taught her in childhood. That scene is such a beauty amidst the heavy themes of child abuse and women's safety and makes you well your eye, even compels you to cry like a baby while remembering your mother.

Every nuance captured so flawlessly that it amazes me how someone can criticize it. Brilliant depiction and court room drama. Manoj Bajpayee acted immaculately all throughout the movie but the most amazing thing that was captured was his shaky confidence and trembling infront of bigger lawyers. The real lawyer PC Solanki fought against the likes of Ram Jethmalani, Salman Khurshid and Subramanian Swamy. It is very intimating for a lawyer to argue against such renowned lawyers irrepective of the district court or Supreme court and Manoj Bajpayee captured both the Starstruck and Trembling infront of such eminent lawyers so perfectly that is exceptionally standsout. Great work by the Director to keep to the required details, everything is super dynamic and it will be hard to take your eyes off the screen esp during court room scenes.

Fantastic Acting and amazing script. This movie is a must watch. He facts presented were just out of the box. People should actually watch this movie. It also showcases how traumatizing it is for a minor to face all these things and how evidences are lost in high profile cases.

Manoj sir is undoubtably a brilliant actor and the way he has acted in the entire movie is just praise worthy. Not only him ,everyone has done a brilliant job .

The movie justifies its title "sirf ek banda kafi hai" . It actually showcases haan ek hi banda kaafi hai galat ko saja dilwane ke liye,sirf ek banda kaafi hai honsla dene ke liye.

If there is a move, in particular a courtroom drama, that has the ability to move you like Jai Bhim, it is this film. No Indian actor can so effortlessly ease into the role of this Jodhupri lawyer Solanki as Manoj has. He takes the right pauses, occupies enough space and just exudes confidence in his dialogue delivery. An acting masterclass!

The overall set-up, production quality may not be up there but that is no longer the expectation with OTT content. The editor has done a fairly good job. Production and direction lacked some consistency with the realities in some areas but it was compensated by the editing. Supporting cast is good, they do not distract you with overacting but also allow you to appreciate how Manoj is just a class apart. Must see!

It was a decent court drama with nothing new to it. The movie case was based on the real events of a false Godman in India who was jailed for rapes and murders. The movie was a simple court drama like other court dramas that we have seen but it was the performance of Manoj Vajpayee which made it interesting to watch. The screenplay and the direction was not strong but as said earlier, it was Manoj who's performance saved this movie. One thing that I loved was that your emotions will change with every scene of the movie.

Overall, it was a decent watch and if you want to see Manoj Vajpayee performance you must see it.

I never miss any of his movies. Saw a clip in Facebook then watched full movie. What a story must recommend for all the folks .what a acting ,thrill . Worth watching. I am now big fan of his acting. Standing ovation for the story writer. We need such type of lawyers in our society who not only supports the client morally instead fight for justice till end . Not worried about the earnings. Great lesson to people who treat or thinks girls/women as a object.i think this movie needs some sort of promotion in social media so that it can reach to people who don't know about this movie. Worthy to be watched.

Apparently based on the real-life case of Asaraam Baapu, this is a courtroom drama that seems to have gotten mixed reviews. It's neither a 10, not a 3 that imdb mainly has. Manoj Bajpayee does what he does best. Decent music. The plot, whatever % fictional it is, seems to have been written with a lot of conveniences, but that's me saying that without knowing what the true story is. As a film, it feels like the opposing lawyers, all of them, seemed weak. Things seemed oddly easy for the lead, PC Solanki. If you can look past that, this is a decent film for the message that it's got.

Keeps the audience stuck to the screen all the time. Super acting, wonderful story, A clean film with no foul language or vulgarize scenes. The film does not even have a heroin. It show how a small time lawyer fighting for victim takes over Indian top guns in legal community. The film is a very true picturization of the true events that happned in India and shook the country for many years. Must watch film.

Wow wow wow manoj bajpai delivers his career best what an actor he is his acting skills are by far the best. This movie is bollywood at its best. This is whqt film making should be. Aside from the masala type copies of the west Go watch without any hesitation. Touches social issued and delivers it with panache. Kudos to the whole team behind it. And the cast for delivering this master piece of a movie to the masses.

The whole cast was good but manoj bajpai ufffff purr genuis pure fire kudos to him for making movie what it is. A very under rated actor who deserves so much more.

I don't know why the movie is getting so much hate. Do all people research so much when they watch Pathaan or Tiger 3? As a movie it is brilliant. Who cares the movie is about a real person or not? A movie should be watch for its plot, cinematography and sincere performance; nothing more nothing less. The movie is about a long fight for getting justice with good performances from everyone and that's it. It's a good courtroom drama and highlights the importance of justice over everything and I think that's what matters. Brilliant performance from Manoj Bajpayee. He nails his role as simple yet straightforward lawyer with great elan.

The story is regarding a dharam guru who under all his human activities cloaks all vulgar and illegal practices. But not this time when a minor decides to go all against him in court.

When I first saw the movie initially I thought the Baba should not be given rigorous sentence as ra*e did not involve penetration.

Later in the movie however the advocate explains by telling the story of Ravana why the baba was all for the crimes he did. The thing is he did this to more than one person. He did this under cloak of a dharam guru. To add further innocent witnesses were killed as well.

Final Verdict: A criminal's crime is even bigger if he hides it under face of someone who the world looks up to for guidance. Life imprisonment was absolute for crimes he did, but what about witnesses who were killed.

1st thing 1st- This movie is based on Asharam bapu scandal which is depicted by great actors.

Manoj sir has done exceptionally well acting as a lawyer of the victim who faces many problems and despite lack of resources manages to gather all the evidences.

This movie is very very underrated and didn't got the appreciation by the industry because no one in the industry has balls to speak anything about Self proclaimed godmen these days.

If you wana watch the in depth story of the whole incident about this scandal then please give some time to this movie and i am sure you will going to love the story and Direction.

Manoj Bajpayee, he is class, he is a master class, hence once again showing his beautiful skills in the movie.

Humanity has some dark chapters, regardless of the religion there will always be predators under it's veil under its cover for their lust attempting on people. This story is not the first and will not be the last.

A movie about legal struggle, a battle against the powerful, how impossible it becomes for one to seek justice, how lengthy the Court processes are and it only takes a person with strong nerves in order to win the battle.

A must watch, with an outstanding performance by Manoj Bajpayee, a must must watch.

I am a lawyer by profession and this movie shows the courtroom proceedings in the correct manner and the performances of the actors is very good .. legal arguments and Rules cited are absolutely correct and the narration and screenplay is beautifully written and executed. Rule 12 of Juvenile Justice Act , interpretation of statutes and other legal provisions are cited in true manner ..but in High Courts usually arguments are made in English but to suit the audience dialogues are in Hindi and that is understandable..this movie is inspired by the real life incidents as well so it is not purely a work of fiction. The acting performance of manoj Vajpayee is worth appreciating and it's a treat to watch.

It shows how much a family and a person who's fighting for justice has to face before getting justice.

Be a devotee but with see the reality and humanity first.

Manoj Sir, A person who performed Adv. PC Solanki with his best work and screen presence is of another level.

Makers maintained the balance between entertainment and meaningful work of direction and acting.

Sirf ek Bandha Kaafi hai - This cinematic brilliance is a High profile court drama and thriller on a very social and important issue that will challenge our present judicial system especially defence counsel opinions and type of questions asked to victims to save accused and how facts can be twisted to get accused out for bail.

Manoj Bajpai performance is one of the best lawyer's character performance in Indian cinema history, the closest to this performance is I believe is A. Bachann of pink, Manoj Bajpayee will be remembered for this performance and will be appreciated for this performance for such a social message movie.

His voice, tone, hand movements, eye movements and relationship shown with his son is impeccably and marvellously directed..

No one can question the acting of Manoj Bajpai in this film; the story line is quite good, and I think this movie portrays the beauty of Sanatan Dharma in the best possible way because, unlike other faiths, Sanatan Dharma is or was never rigid. We have the courage to identify and accept the wrongs and fight for them; we have been doing this for centuries. And if I talk about the movie, you will be thrilled by the closing statement given by Manoj Bajpai in court. This movie teaches us that there are godman, but you need to be aware of conmen who are hiding somewhere between us and are playing with our trust and also with our dharma.

The film is based on the infamous Asaram Bapu case which was fought for 5 long years to get justice to the victim, brave Nu. P. C. Solanki (Manoj Bajpayee) gets her case after her previous lawyer gets more interested in cutting a deal than get her justice. The road to justice was hard as the culprit was a self proclaimed godman and his blind followers resort to killing off prime witnesses. How Advocate P. C. Solanki remains undeterred despite all the threats and pressure in this long battle along with the victim and her family forms rest of the story.

Considering it is based on real events with the expected cinematic liberties, it is quite an engaging courtroom drama with a terrific Manoj Bajpayee in the lead. The writing too succeeds in balancing out religious beliefs with that of what is right in court of law. The scenes of threat do get repetitive but that was just close to the reality, as much of the courtroom drama is about getting the bail denied to the culprit for years. The narrative is entirely from P. C. Solanki's pov. Whenever the writing feels limited, the performances and touch of realism, makes up for it.
