The feature debut of writer-director Peter Hurd, The Control Group features Academy Award Nominee Brad Dourif (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Curse of Chucky) as, a mad scientist working out of a locked-down insane asylum that harbors teenagers, who they plan to experiment on.

The DVD includes a Behind the Scenes documentary and director’s commentary.

Trapped in an abandoned insane asylum, five college students and the rogue scientists who abducted them must band together when a supernatural threat appears.

Directed by Peter Hurd, The Control Group will be released on DVD this May from Wild Eye Releasing. Also: season four of The Walking Dead is set to air on Universo, and the Splathouse podcast team discuss Ed Wood's cult classic Plan 9 from Outer Space.

The Control Group is an inde grindhouse horror feature. An homage to '70s and '80s grindhouse, this title will have its World Premiere in Minnesota. As well, the film will participate in the American Film Market, in Santa Monica. This title is a haunted house film, set in a psychiatric hospital. Here, five friends are taking part in an illicit experiment. This title stars Ross Destiche, Jenna Enemy and Brad Dourif. A preview for the film is here. In the film's trailer, the five friends are terrorized by a motley group of scientists. Shot in lots of reds and blacks, the feature film trailer shows more of the film's story as a hero emerges, from all of the bloodshed. The Control Group will have its World Premiere October 22nd, 2014. Then, the film will follow-up this appearance with a showing on November 5th, in California. Fans of indie horror...
