At first I thought this was just another "ride the hype" after The Avengers production but gladly I was mistaken. The story is tight and the runtime 12 min, but I learned today that short is not always a bad thing.
The effects are cool and rates high, the acting is really good and the diversity between the persona's of the actors works in harmony. What can I say except it made my cup of coffee in the morning taste a lot better.
The only problem is how to fill 10 lines of review of a short very good movie, when there literally ain't nothing to complain about.

Lizzy Caplan and Jesse Bradford play a young couple who shortly after the attack on New York (Avengers 2012) come across an alien weapon. They proceed to use this to rob banks but Shield is on their tale.
Featuring a couple of semi-recurring characters from the television series Agents Of Shield (2013) this well cast little 8 minutes is fun enough but you need to go in remembering these things aren't exactly stories.
They are more like scenes ripped out of films, thankfully usually pretty passable ones.
The fact this fits in so well with the Marvel universes continuity really helps as does Caplan, Bradford and the two Shield agents.
Passable stuff that can be used as filler inbetween actual feature films.
The Good:
Great soundtrack
Lizzy Caplan
Agents Of Shield cast members
The Bad:
Really not much to it
Things I Learnt From This Movie:
An assistant who cannot make coffee should be fired on the spot
After last seeing Caplan in True Blood I almost didn't recognise her clothed

This quick clip after the Avengers is actually kind of interesting. It is short so not a lot of stuff is happening but it actually is when you think about it.
The new characters in Claire, Ben and Agent Blake are interesting enough but I am glad the Sitwell was able to sort of prove that he is a capable physical agent.
Lizzy Caplan and Titus Welliver are a joy on any screen and they hope they can make an appearance.
What really makes this interesting to me is that there are people in the world, using alien technology for their own benefit. This is most likely happening a lot around the world and due to this, Damage Control , an entity created to literally clean up messes, can be introduced.
+ Caplan and Welliver + Sitwell does more + People get alien technology could be a problem in the future + Damage Control? - Not long enough
7.8/10

In the aftermath of the battle of New York, Claire Weiss (Lizzy Caplan) and Bennie Pollock (Jesse Bradford) find an alien weapon and use it to rob banks. Agent Jasper Sitwell is assigned to recover it. The only disappointment comes from the fact that Lizzy Caplan never continued in the MCU. She would be hilarious while still being a compelling actress. This is a solid short.

Saw it. Liked it. So, this short got everything you can think of - effects, characters, action + charisma. The intro was quite lame, but then things started to fire up. It was pretty good. Plus, the final replica is quite funny. I let you find which it is. :)

As my title says, this is so much fun and I totally loved it. Especially Lizzy Caplan as Claire Weiss. She brings SO much to whatever she is in. She took this itty-bitty part and proved there are no small parts. This short shows us a bit about what happened after the events of "Avengers." It's nice to have an example of the normal people after these events!

Two regular people, adorably out of their league, put to use a Chitauri rifle to achieve the American dream.
This is the kind of thing that basically must happen every so often in the MCU. There's no way the massive bombastic climaxes can always be cleaned up. This has amazing use of licensed music. Everyone gives a memorable performance, in addition to being written in a way that feels very natural. The tension and action are great. Running time is 8 minutes, or 11 and a half including end credits.
This is currently available on Disney Plus. I recommend it to fans of the franchise. 7/10.

Item: 47 is the worst One-Shot. It's somewhat random. Random people find this gun and rob banks with it? Everything seems weird and out of place. It's nice to watch but definitely not good.

*) K Reviews *) ( ( It has no relationship with the MCU but is light hearted and fun to watch. From the story point of view you can skip it but from the entertainment point of view then you should watch it.
Marvel One-Shot: Item 47
This is the best one of the one-shots. Item 47 fills in some common sense details that aren't normally thought of in an action movie. Aliens had invaded New York City in the Avengers, were defeated, but items were still left behind. The 47th Chitauri weapon was picked up by two bank robbers who use it to steal lots of money. Agent Sitwell returns to pursue them on behalf of S. H. I. E. L. D. since Coulson's death. I really liked that the filmmakers took the time to think of a very plausible side effect of an alien invasion. You don't see attempts at this kind of realism very often.

What a tease. They show us a small story with Lizzy Caplan and Jesse Bradford. I really wish they would have brought Lizzy Caplan into the MCU universe. She is a very talented and amazing actress that could have totally rocked a part.
The story was short, but fun. It was nice to see more of Agent Jasper Sitwell in action. He has a very different style than Colsoun. But he's still fun. He seems to be in most of the One-Shot's.
I liked the story. It was short, but still told something and gave a glimpse at alien technology and how it looks in civilians hands. It was funny and definitely went in a different direction then I thought it was going to go in. I'd totally watch a full movie about Claire and Bennie (bonnie and clyde) if they would have made one.

As the follow up and spin-off of The Avengers, Item 47 helped to solidify the spin-off series, Agents of S. H. I. E. L. D.
I felt outrageous that Lizzy Caplan's talent wasted on a 12 minute short. She would've been a great addition to the mainstream MCU films.

While the previous Marvel One-Shots focused on fast & quick explorations of the universe, Item 47 takes its time and allows for more storytelling. Following Agent Jasper Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernández), he is tasked with retrieving a Chitauri weapon from some bank robbers. Robbing banks on their journey down the East Coast, Claire Weiss & Bennie Pollock act as a modern Bonnie & Clyde, albeit less organized or professional. While their antics are entertaining in a slapstick manner, the short focuses on comedy and fails to provide much outside of that. The Marvel One-Shots are a wonderful idea, but so far they have been heavily underutilized and fail to expand the universe in any meaningful way.
