Although, this movie was made during the soviets when Tajikestan was still one of sovit states but it is not in Russian as it has been mentioned. The story is about one of the greatest Persian poets, Roudaki ( B:858-D:941) who lived in toady's Tajikestan which was part of Persia then. The language of the film is in Persian, the languages of today in Iran and Tajikestan (but with Tajik accent.)
