Hallmark's latest holiday film, airing Friday, November 17 at 8/7 on the Hallmark Channel, reminds us of the importance of Christmas miracles. The lighthouse shines bright, locals care about each other, and the film features small-town charm.
Navigating Christmas features three people -- Melanie, Peter, and Jason, who have been disillusioned and hurt by those they love and find themselves healing by the spirit of the holidays.
Melanie Hobbs, Stephen Huszar, and Everett Andres star in this film, and none of them are strangers to the Hallmark franchise.
But this film was unique because Chelsea Hobbs and Everett Andres had previously portrayed mother and son on The Holiday Sitter in 2022. That helped to build a realistic connection between them.
Everett Andres sold this film. If you ask anyone, it's difficult being a divorced kid, but especially that first Christmas.
You only want your parents to get back together, but you hesitate...

Jodie Sweetin is expressing disappointment that her upcoming film Craft Me a Romance will air on Great American Family, where her former Full House co-star Candace Cameron Bure has a deal.
In a statement shared with The Hollywood Reporter, Sweetin said she was not aware that the rom-com would land at the cable channel, which was the subject of headlines late last year when Cameron Bure said that “traditional marriage” would be the focus of stories featured on Great American Family. This was in contrast to the Hallmark Channel, the previous home for Cameron Bure’s numerous Christmas rom-coms, having recently featured LGBTQ characters in its movies.
“Sometimes, we, as actors, don’t have control over which network buys the projects we are in nor are we a part of the process in which they get sold,” Sweetin said. “So I was very surprised to learn by reading about it...

The Full House alum made an appearance on the Unapologetic with Julia Jeffress Sadler podcast where she cited it was her Christian faith that helped her navigate through difficult times.

December is in full swing, and Hallmark's slate of holiday movies is here to help you enjoy the most wonderful time of the year. With a roster of 40 new titles leading up to the end of December, Hallmark's latest lineup of festive offerings is the perfect way to embrace the holiday spirit all month long - and there are still a few movies left to catch before the holidays actually begin.
This year's titles star everyone from Jeremy Jordan to Hallmark mainstay Lacey Chabert, appearing in her 12th Christmas feature on the channel. Meanwhile, some of the movies focus on Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, while two films - "A Big Fat Family Christmas" and "Christmas at the Golden Dragon" - center around Chinese American stories. Elsewhere, the film "The Holiday Sitter" stars an LGBTQ+ couple, a first for a Hallmark Christmas movie. Plus, popular Hallmark Christmas leading men Paul Campbell,...

This Sunday, you can watch The Holiday Sitter, starring Jonathan Bennett and George Krissa, based on an original story by Bennett.
It's a genuinely funny movie about Sam (Bennett), a confirmed bachelor with no interest in children, who winds up watching his niece and nephew over the Christmas holiday. Everything changes when he meets their neighbor, Jason (Krissa).
We jumped on the phone with Bennett to talk about it.
Hi, Jonathan. How are you?
I'm wonderful. How are you?
I'm good, thank you. You know, you're somewhat of a legend at Hallmark.
Oh my God. Stop it. Tell me more.
Every time I ask somebody who they'd like to work with, you're almost always at the top of their list.
You're lying to me. Now you're just flattering me. And let me tell you, flattery will get you everywhere with me, okay?
Yeah, people just really admire your work. I think that's fantastic.

Starring in a Hallmark Christmas movie today isn’t much different than appearing in Mean Girls 18 years ago, says star Jonathan Bennett: just like he did with Lindsay Lohan in 2004, he “meet cutes” an attractive single in a rom-com type setting in The Holiday Sitter.
This time, however, Bennett is making a little history: the movie debuting Dec. 11 at 8. p.m. marks the first time a Hallmark holiday flick revolves around a same-sex couple. In this case, Bennett plays a confirmed bachelor named Sam who agrees to watch his teen nephew and young niece while their parents are away. He ends up falling for Jason (George Krissa), an easy-on-the-eyes neighbor who’s far more adept at caring for kids.
“We’re doing all the classic things that we love in Hallmark movies,” Bennett tells Deadline. “We’re doing the tropes that we’ve come to love and expect from watching Hallmark movies.

If anyone would have said even five years ago, as their Christmas-movie stock began to escalate, that the Hallmark Channel would make history, folks probably would have run out to a Hallmark store and gotten you a “Get Well Soon” card. Yet here we are, on the eve of The Holiday Sitter, their first-ever Lgbqt+-led rom-com and we are so ready to don our gay apparel and get festive. Starring and executive produced by Jonathan Bennett, the Mean Girls icon who already helped Hallmark earn its rainbow stripes by costarring in the inclusive Christmas House movies, Sitter finds his workaholic bachelor Sam suddenly stuck watching his sister’s kids instead of heading to Hawaii for the holidays. Soon, though, things get merrier and brighter after he literally falls for the handsome and equally unattached neighbor Jason (George Krissa), who helps him not only keep the kids occupied but also...

It’s that time of the year that holiday movies take over Hallmark Channel (with “Countdown to Christmas”) & Hallmark Movies & Mysteries (with “Miracles of Christmas”), and we love it. We’re not the only ones, as TV Insider learned when we recently caught up with the stars of the movies on the red carpet for Hallmark Media’s star-studded kickoff of “Countdown to Christmas.” “I think we all know by now that Hallmark is about Christmas, it’s about connection,” Nadine Ellis (The Holiday Stocking) says in the video above. And, as Ashley Williams (Five More Minutes: Moments Like These) notes, it allowed people to find a connection, to feel “unified” during the pandemic, “a true time of isolation.” And these movies include stories that everyone can enjoy, as The Holiday Sitter‘s Jonathan Bennett and George Krissa share. “We love telling stories at Hallmark Channel, especially LGBTQ+ Christmas stories,...

Changing things up is working for Hallmark Channel, as their “Three Wise Men and a Baby” has become the most-watched cable TV movie of the year.
The movie, which debuted on Saturday, Nov. 19 and stars Hallmark’s beloved actors Andrew Walker, Tyler Hynes and Paul Campbell, averaged 3.6 million total viewers. Campbell co-wrote the movie with another network favorite, Kimberley Sustad, who made a cameo.
Hallmark’s most-watched movie of the year was the second most-watched cable program of the week, trailing only behind Paramount Network’s giant hit, “Yellowstone.”

“Three Wise Men and a Baby” shifted format from the usual holiday movie; rather focusing on a romance, the plot followed three brothers as they hilariously struggled when they were forced to care for a mystery baby ahead of Christmas. The movie also featured Margaret Colin,...

JoJo Siwa is making it clear that she's not looking to reconcile with Candace Cameron Bure. "We have not [talked], and I don't think we ever will again," Siwa said in an interview with People at Disney+'s "Elton John Live: Farewell From Dodger Stadium" event on Nov. 20. Siwa's comments were in reference to Bure's plans to reportedly create a collection of new LGBTQ+-free movies for the network Great American Family, which Siwa previously criticized in a Nov. 15 Instagram post.
"Honestly, I can't believe after everything that went down just a few months ago, that she would not only create a movie with intention of excluding Lgbtqia+, but then also talk about it in the press," Siwa wrote in the original Instagram post. "This is rude and hurtful to a whole community of people."
Siwa elaborated on her feelings about Bure's comments in the Nov.
