The opening credits of 'Midnight Whistle' feature original artwork from the Paula Peril comic books, including artwork by popular cover artist Dave Hoover, who died just a few weeks before shooting began.
Marla Malcom, a series favorite who had played Veronica Vilancourt in two previous films, was unable to star in 'Midnight Whistle' due to surgery. She was replaced by newcomer Hayley Tarkenton in her first film role.
