Dear Friends, Watch this tale of "Shiv" & "Sati / Parvati", the parents of our universe. It is a wonderfully adapted show from "Shiv Purana" and it depicts the deep love between the supreme being and this wonderful planet which is sustained by his "Shakti : Sati / Parvati ".
"Shakti" in Hinduism means Mother Goddess.
The story inspires us to our spiritual side and increases our wisdom.
The show has some amazing moments, great music and awesome performances by the main characters.
The show is a tribute to the great culture and philosophy of Hinduism.

I am very happy to see Shiv Purana on the screen. It is done very thoughtfully, sets are beautiful and acting is marvelous. Mohit Raina is just amazing and he performs his role beautifully- He is able to show Mahadev's calmness, strength (physical and mental)and Mahadev's omnipresence. When i see him on the show - i feel Mahadev's presence. He exudes that aura. I have loved many other shows Mahabharat/ Krishna/ Ramayana, but Devon Ka Dev Mahadev is one of a kind. It is directed so well, costumes, sets, colors, cast is superb- it is spiritually elevating. My friend who is very knowledgeable in Hinduism- Vedas and Puranas- tells me that the facts are at various times distorted or misrepresented or misunderstood. But he is watching it daily and we try to discuss it out. I do not know who plays Indra's role- great acting. I hope this show runs for ever.
The directors have shown this serial with very detailed info of the events with Sathi & Parvathi which we rarely find. Excellent part of this serial is Siva's character & behavior. It is very beautiful to see God's behavior/responses for certain things and we can learn a lot from it, for example if you observe carefully you will find that Siva will not talk unless needed and he speaks with calm, confident & pious voice. He loves Sathi so much and tries very hard to save her though she argues a lot and creates troubles, it shows how a husband should take care of his wife. If anybody understands Siva's behavior and try to follow the same their life will be beautiful without much arguments/conflicts.
I am so much addicted to this serial and thank the producers, directors & cast very much.

this show is not just about mythology. its more about a thoughtful approach towards life and its true meaning.the words/sayings have deep meaning. the show has some best visual effects any Indian TV show has ever seen. but the highlight of the show is the performances. right from the sensational Lord Shiva (Mohit Raina) whose divine voice and calm appearance is phenomenal.to his so many different avatars on the show. Sati(Mouni Roy) is stunning in her part. the acts are taken to another level by Deity Parvati. Sonarika just needs applaud for her Goddess Adishakti act . later Pooja does excellent job in her Kali avatar too. the story telling is impressive and the acts are well suited. overall, it is one of the finest show made in India among all genres.

I wish all Indian Series related Hinduism is like this one. So beautifully presented, however there are some scopes of improvements, but I would say this is the first time I felt like keep on watching any series. This show is so addicting, before watching this I thought I knew most of the life of Lord Shiva, but I was wrong..this story talks about Lord Shiva's life from almost beginning to end. Apart from actors, the animation crew also deserves credit, most of the Hinduism series has so bad animation that you wouldn't even like to see it, but here they have blended it so well that you would feel like you're in that era, even though its not of standard of any Hollywood series, but still looking at low budget of any Indian series, they have done so well. I would like to thank you the team of this show and would encourage them to make similar series like this one in future. Well Done!!

One of the few series. I got to know so much about the most important gods of Hinduism "Lord Shiva" from this series. The only thing i wished was, if it was shortened a bit to summarize episodes. Rather than having episodes every day. Great direction, make up, clothes , graphics and actors. Good work by everyone. Even small details and emotions are crafted so well. I consider this TV Series as a way to help the new generation Indians know the reasons for many things about Hinduism and traditions and the significance of it. Worth watching by both Indians and Non Indians. I was and now i am still bigger devotee of Lord Shiva. This a great TV series.

I don't know whether its because of my spiritual family background or my life events that i have faced in last 2 years.... This serial appeared to me as a lighthouse at every step. Out of my curiosity i have gone through spiritual literature/media of varied religions. This serial Devon ke dev mahadev according to my understanding is on the top of all. Even my entire family has scheduled our dinner time according to its timing of 8 pm, Same as millions of people in India and abroad.
I am writing this review since this week(8 Dec 14 to 14 Dec 14) will be the last week of this serial. Its heart broking. On behalf of me and my entire family I express our heartiest thanks to every person who has contributed in this serial directly - indirectly. Marvelous, unbelievable job in every context from external appearance to the content and values.
Special thanks to Mr. Mohit Raina ... Lord Shiva is Nirakaar .... but he has made Lord Shiva Saakar... same to every character. Every household who has watched Mahadev will remember his face as Lord Shivas synonym. Also special thanks to Director/Producer/narrator/writer/editor of this epic Shiv Puraan and serial.... a masterpiece.
May God bless all of you for your contribution to the society as whole by spreading the wider definition and form of religion.
I cannot express my gratitude and the excellent work of Devon ke Dev Mahadev Team in 1000 words limit here. Words will be less to express the positivity and hope that this serial has given to society.
This serial is and will be a benchmark to all spiritual shows )).

Recently started watching Devon ke Dev Mahadev & it's just mind-blowing. The way it has been shot, the attention to detail, the cast, the visual effects, etc - simply fantastic. The feeling that emerges watching the series - it cannot be confined to words. It has to be experienced. I subscribed to Hotstar only for watching this. When the series was running on TV, the social media was not at its peak. Mr. Mohit Raina - what can one say about him. He's just divine as Mahadev. Such sincerity & devotion is invoked very time he appears on screen. He is so underrated as an actor. He could seriously take on any top star today by his mere screen presence. I wonder why he is being sidelined. Rest of the cast have also done a great job. Highly recommend this for everyone. A must watch especially for Shiv Bhakths!

This series has caught my eyes with its awesome visual presentation and magnificent acting cast related to Lord Mahadev/Shiv. Music is so much carefully assigned which is enough able to give majestically experience especially with starting theme "Shiv Shiv". Those who are familiar with Lord Shiva's saga, they will still find this series mesmerizing and yet thoughtful approach to the life events of Lord Shiva. There are more scenarios which are still unknown to most of people like Sati Rahashya, Ashok Sundari-Daughter of Lord Shiv, Mahishasur tries to kill Kartikeya have shown with great storyline and plot. It also shows the depth of research done on Lord Shiva. So those who are curious to know about life of Lord shiv, this one is the right pick as well as the pleasant experience of excellent odyssey.
Best show ever made in the history Indian television

This show is totally intended for middle-aged people and not for 21st-century kids. This show is just like any other Indian TV serials, which is full of overacting, underacting, dramatic background music and almost half of the episode it just focuses on everyone's facial reaction over some drama. The show uses those religious background music a lot and I mean a lot, which is all over the place. The acting is totally dramatised as I've never seen any people who talks or even acts like that. It's like unless you speak, your emotions wouldn't get through. In acting, silence speaks the loudest but damn this show is full of dialogues with "Suddha Hindi". The CGI is crap and you could easily see that. It makes me sad to think that there aren't any good TV serials in India which are targeted towards young audiences unless you watch Netflix or Youtube.

The serial is one of the best serial in Indian Television History... According to me, Craze of watching this serial is like in 80's most popular Indian Myth serials Ramayana and Mahabharata. Crew members, specially from animation department are also dedicated in there work and present there best. I wish any Bollywood production or specially any Hollywood production will make a movie series of DKDM with Hollywood style special effect. I wish from DKDM team that as already many actors changed, please do not repeat it as it is one of the popular show on Indian Television and people also notice that. I daily watch its episodes either on Television or from Startv.in. Thanks for that and all the best for future also!!!

And it is our individual duty to learn from our ancestors, the gods.
Hadn't watched any TV Serial that of our history after the 1997 TV serial 'Om Namah Shivaay'. Before that it was B.R.Chopra's Mahabharata serial & Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan and Krishna. This one, I started re-watching it since the beginning of the first lock down in 2020 and finished it on 15th September, 2020. The last few seconds of the final episode made me cry a lot. No, it wasn't the dialogue but it was a feeling of emptiness that I feared was gaining on me as this show was getting over. Watching this serial made me feel light, calm and, in trance. It brought some good sleep over a few nights too.
The show has some brilliant dialogues that one needs to have as a short series in one's phone because listening to them (and in Mohit's voice) might help us in dealing our hectic/ sad/ down/ lonely lives, our problems, our actions & reactions, shaping ours & our next generations' characters. The story needs to be patiently heard for nothing happens without reason. Everything that happens, everything that happened and that will happen, happens only so that we learn from it.
The actors, most of them, are apt in their roles, of course more importantly Mohit as 'Shiva' and Saurabh as 'Vishnu'. It is slightly irritating that some actors had to be replaced for one reason or the other be it Parvati, Saraswati, Indra and many more. Alpesh who plays Ganesha has a soothing voice. Every time he speaks I would do 'nazar na lage' on him, over my screen.
The music is soul healing. So many beautiful songs where probably 'Karpuragauram..' makes Shiva's presence beside you more preciser. 'Shankar Shiv Bhole..', 'Vishweshwaraaya..', 'Namaisha..', 'Teenon Lokon ke swami..', 'Saat pheron ki ghadi..', 'Adbhut Anupam..', 'Shantakaram..' are some truly beautiful songs that will take you to a trance. I bow to the music directors, The Bawra Brothers for their existence.
The VFX is not bad but not good either. The make up is wonderful at times and that glaring lipsticks on Parvati or anyone else is slightly irritating.
During these dire times, these 820 episodes have been a ray of positive energy and an uplifting feel when I was down. I just couldn't take the fact that it got over. Nothing ever had made me feel this hollow after bringing a ray of hope this long.
Om Namah Shivaaya.

Excellent series you must watch if you like mythological serials, I have learned so many new things specially I understood how/why Ramayan started. I fall in love with Mahadev Love story (Simply Amazing) Mohit Raina played the best role as a Shiva. Mouni Roy (Sati) and Sonarika Bhadoria (Parvati) played best roles. I felt really bad when Sonarika (Parvati) took exit from show due to monitory reasons She has played the best Paravati role in entire series which not other actress able to match.
Animation - 9 (Best till date in any Indian serials) Audio and Background Score - 10 Dialogues - 10 Cast - 9 (only because Sonarika left)

It's best to get guidance of how to live life, knowledge of reality which is being hidden by Britishers and their Indian companions. Teachings are blessings of Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and many others. Each and every actor and actress are best and most suitable.

the background score is excellent. the songs are beautiful. the divine aura of goddess Kali and Durga is mesmerizing. the raktabeej and andhak killing episodes were too good.the actresses deserve accolades for it.the supporting cast is also good. the visual effects are brilliant.
even the personal life of lord Shiva is shown in a good way. the bond between Shiva and Sati and later Parvati is greatly shown. even Mohit Raina deserves applaud for his poignant role of Lord Shiva. the ganesha track was awesome.the mythological stories are presented like never before. the triple role of Mohit Raina in jalandhar track was superb.
overall, the best in recent times.
