I've seen the 4 episodes of this series and I must say that I like it. But there are some aspects in which this dizi is struggling to reach typical turkish TV audience.
- Actors are good, chemistry between Alina and Taro is on top, cool directing BUT if you want to succeed in turkish TV audience, the story must be complex/ complicated + it should be developed in 2/3 parallel storylines.
- What I'm intending to say is that this dizi's plot is very simple: poor girl who enters high society with a false identity, falls in love with the handsome, successful, rich boy which doesn't love his girlfriend and is in a direct war with his half sister and stepmother for the head post of the company etc.
- Personally I expected this dizi to be a bomb and especially Alina's character which was the whole contrary. When the series original name "Zengin Kiz" and the plot came out, everyone thought Zeynep would be a unscrupulous character, which would do everything to get rich, stepping into everyone who tried to enter her way to the high society and wealthy life, with an scary ego and ambition to get higher and higher. And what does we get instead: a girl who is sensible, with conscience, who falls in love and this is making her deviate from her main objective. In short words: Zeynep isn't the smart and intelligent girl we all thought/imagined! I mean she's smart but not that much bcz she has made many mistakes and silly mistakes I would say, which don't make this series a bomb. Also 'Bir Peri Masali' title doesn't buy too much 😏.
- When they learn Zeynep is not who they think she is, the story ends. It should be a very strong event's development and sometimes what I like to say "non usual"/traditional dizi scenes in order to attract turkish audience which is very tired by this kind of series. And I don't think the scriptwriters are capable of doing a this kind of plot twist. Episode 4 was 2 hours long and tbh was boring. Like if you don't know what to put in a specific episode just make it less than 2 hours. Many dizi have had episodes less than 2 hours!!!
- Also leaving the scenario aside, the day chosen for this tv series was so wrong!!! Many series of this type have been transmitted on Wednesdays and they all did so bad! Adding the fact that they changed the day of premiere twice and this also affected its success.
HOWEVER I still like it for it's directing, colors, actors, sweet vibe it transmits etc. It isn't neither toxic, nor does it have those scary, overly dramatic crying and shouting scenes. The best for 'Bir Peri Masali' would have been the digital series format but let's hope it doesn't get cancelled early.
