Monty Don's Italian Gardens

Monty takes you on a tour of some of the most breathtaking gardens and estates I've ever seen. A lot of the estates are not open to the public, so I got the sense it was truly and experience getting to see them (though of course not as special as seeing them in person).

Monty does an excellent job of giving a bit of history on the original creator of the garden and how the time period influenced design. He also talks to the current gardener or restorator to give a glimpse at how the garden was restored and what approach they took.

Truly a magnificent tour through Italy.

Though he carries this satchel the whole time and I'm not sure why...
