Lead actress for this film, Jodie Sweetin, stated to the press that she was disappointed to learn that this film had been sold to the network Great American Family for which Candace Cameron Bure chief creative officer. Sweetin, who starred alongside Bure in Full House (1987), told People Magazine: "I am disappointed, but in keeping with my mission of supporting the LGBTQ+ family, any potential or future money made from this sale will be donated to LGBTQ+ organizations."
