This is not clear. The producers of the film have spoken about the copyright in the USA but not the copyright in Britain, which is strange when copyrights in Britain last for 70 years after an author's death and we are still within 70 years of A.A. Milne's death. It's possible that they simply didn't realise that American and British copyright laws are different.
