After axing such family comedies as My Family and After you've gone it is interesting that one of the newer BBC sitcoms is family orientated. With Miranda being the only sitcom that critics are liking at the moment In with the Flynns is a bit of a gamble for the BBC.
There are moments of class in this freshman sitcom and a lot of that is down to the persona of Will Mellor as the male lead and the fact that the writing isn't half bad.
It's not as commercial as the previously mentioned sitcoms and hasn't really been given that much in terms of publicity but it well worth watching once or twice because by and large it is an enjoyable piece of comedy even though it will never have the longevity of my Family or the commercial appeal of such legendary sitcoms as Only Fools and Horses.
In this age where the BBC seem all too quick to brandish the axe I hope that the Flynns are at least given a chance to survive.
