I really, really loved this movie. Hollywood needs to continue to make movies like this one. The story is actually real just google Brycen Newman and there will be a whole host of links that show this as a true story. The amount of amazing critic reviews is insane, the number listed is 70 and I couldn't find one that doesn't rave about the story, the movie and the acting and I agree with the ones I read.
For individuals of faith, this movie reinforces that there is a higher power and not to give up on God or prayer. What the Newman family went through is heartbreaking, and definitely will bring tears to your eyes. But at the end you see a community come together to say a prayer over a young man that changes everything. I love the line "no need to go to Florida, there are plenty of beaches here in California" and that Mustang is a dream car for most.
The actors that shined in my opinion were Eddie McClintock "Richard Newman", Daniel Roebuck "Ed Hanson", Cathy Patterson "Marilynn Hanson", Brennan Hunt "Alexandra", and Nick Avila "Miles Himmel" is a very good looking young man, I hope to see him in more movies like this. Cori Lombardi "Anne Majer" did a fantastic job as the teacher, and Christin Jezak as Dr. Sam did a good job also. The one thing I would have like to see more of is Dean Cain, he is on the poster art but wasn't on screen as much as you would hope.
All in all there are zero complaints, I am excited that I bought the movie because I will be showing it to my family and recommending it to my friends. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I am glad I bought it.
