I like the live part but there are way to man fan interviews in between all this songs.. its gets very annoying... i wish it could of just been the performances

I love Glee, I love Lea Michele, so the Glee movie was definitely put on my list of must see films. My partner and I have been having withdrawals since the end of season 2, so this was the perfect filler in for the time being.

There's lots of things wrong with this movie, for starters it is much too short, I was devastated when it all if a sudden ended, secondly I thought the stories in between each song were unnecessary and boring, and finally the fact that not all the cast get a chance to sing a solo is also disappointing, but obviously the producers have to cater to a lot of fans and they try to give each cast member a little bit of screen time, I somehow have a feeling that Blaine and Britney are the favorites as they are the ones who get the most screen time, however disappointing this was it's all worth it when mighty Rachel Berry graces the screen, Lea Michele is a born performer and she knows how to give an audience what they pay for, her songs are by far the most well performed.

It was also nice to see Dianna Agron on a big screen, out of the entire cast I think she is one of the only ones who will have a sustained career once the show finishes.

I'm surprised that this movie is such a box office flop, considering what a juggernaut Glee is it's just plain weird to see it failing the way it is. I went to a 3pm session on a Monday at a very popular cinema in Sydney and me and my partner had the entire theatre to ourselves, not one other person was in the cinema. So we basically had our own private screening, we just got into it though,we had a bit of a sing and dance.

Another thing I will point out is I think the use of 3d worked very well, this is probably the first movie I've seen where the 3d was good and not just blurry, and the surprise cameo by Gwyneth is excellent.

So yeah, Just go with it, there's a lot if fun to be had if you just take it for what it is. Long Live Rachel Berry!!!!!!

Glee the movie has arrived in theaters and has been receiving sensational reviews, some stating it to be one of the best movies of the summer. Various reviews mentioned brilliant song and dance numbers, fun and witty dialog, and behind the scenes shots showing the cast getting ready for the concert. I'm here to give my insight on the tale about the 3-D event of the summer centering on the musical T.V. show.

Glee 3-D starts out showing thousands of fans of the popular TV show standing in front of the camera and giving the loser sign the show has made popular. The audience, unfortunately, is subjected to watching various die hard fanatics in their Glee attire as they tell the audience who their favorite characters are, and in some cases why they are. Once we get through the sea of Gleeks, we get a backstage look at Rachel Berry, Lea Michele as she shares how she keeps her vocal chords in shape for the show. A few backstage shots, which are mainly the characters getting their makeup put on and saying a few lines. After about ten minutes into the movie, the audience gets to hear their first song, which believe it or not is Don't Stop Believing by Journey, and in a pretty awesome opening we get an intro to cast of characters.

It's here I'll say that a majority of the songs in this movie are only excerpts from the live stage show. Fans looking to hear the complete versions of songs and fantastic dance numbers will be disappointed to hear that most of the songs are only about a minute long. A few numbers are almost the complete song, but these songs are few and far in between. Although I'm not a big fan, I have to admit that the songs they picked have a catchy bumpy beat. A few of the numbers even have a good blend of dancing and special effects, but it is still not enough to call this the best movie of the summer. I'm also here to tell you that the dance numbers the commercials have shown are constantly interrupted with shots of the Glee fans going insane in their seats as they scream in excitement at seeing the cast on stage. To tell you the truth, about half the cinematography focuses on the fans, a majority of which are screaming girls.

In between the shots of screaming fans and show excerpts, the audience is subjected to one of two different scenarios. One scenario is the backstage preparation you were promised. The backstage is really nothing more than one or two members of the cast, acting as their characters in the show, making a couple of quick remarks to the camera, which are weak attempts to get a laugh out of the audience. There is no backstage rehearsals, no warming up dialog, and no good luck rituals, so if you're expecting to see this you'll be disappointed. The other scenario the audience is subjected to is getting an insight into three real life stories about die hard Glee fans who state Glee has changed their lives. Throughout the movie the audience gets to hear about how hard these three kids' lives were and how they were considered freaks/losers. However a shining ray of hope, Glee in this case, came to their rescue and now they are better people because of it. Although it is meant to be emotionally stimulating and inspiring, most of the editing, accompanying music and what the kids say is more eye rolling than anything else. I'm glad the kids' found happiness and acceptance by friends, but the fact their stories were in a movie about the concert made me feel that these stories were used to pump up the already over inflated egos of the Glee cast. These stories really just didn't seem appropriate to be in a concert movie and instead should be in a documentary or a news clip on T.V.

Perhaps the biggest thing that made me mad about this movie was the fact that it was only shot in 3-D. The whole time I watched the film, I found the 3-D pointless as it provided no special benefits to the movie, i.e. better depth in shading or things flying out of the screen. In fact, I found the 3-D more distracting than anything else as I saw the constant shadows of the screaming audience move across the screen taking my eyes away from the film. Thus the only reason I could think of shooting this film in 3-D is that they wanted to make more money at the boxy office.

To finish up this review, Glee 3-D seems to be more of a fan glorification movie than an actual concert movie. Although the songs are sung in the fashion that fans like, and some of the dance work is still as vibrant as ever, the screaming fans, and small song excerpts were really not that impressive. Tie in the fact that the back stage shots are weak and the fan stories that take up the rest of the time feel overacted and you have the mediocre film that is Glee 3-D. The Robbie score for this movie is somewhere between a 4.5-5.0, and I suggest going to see the live show the editors of the movie threw together to make this movie, it's probably a better use of your money. I love the Glee cast to death and they're performances were splendit as ever, however the song choices were very poorly done. At the top of my head I could have listed at least one song from the show per actor which would have complimented their voices a lot more than the ones they chose in the end. I also would have loved to see more of the concert as a few interactions on stage were cut out for the benefit of the movie (which I understand), however, it does take away a bit of the warm and welcoming feeling Glee usually brings with it. Overall, I did enjoy most of the songs and all of the performers did an amazing job which is the only reason the movie gets as many stars as it does.

This film documents a concert by Glee characters, not by the actors portraying them. If you already like Glee, you will enjoy the concert and the profiles of the beautiful diversity that exemplifies the fan base. The real lives of several fanciers are profiled through clips inserted into the concert and behind-the-scenes footage. Through these biographical snippets, as well as comments from the concert attendees, viewers hear revelations of how Glee has helped people accept those who are different from themselves--and to accept themselves. Many in the crowd share a common experience of finding a "family of friends" who share their appreciation of the soul-freeing power of music and stories on the television show.

The concert itself is full of powerhouse performances that showcase the entertainers (including the musicians) as individuals and as a dynamically synergistic group. Onstage and backstage, all stay in character, adding to the fun factor of this upbeat film.

Glee fans will love it. People who have not seen Glee, do not like Glee, or are mean-spirited bigots should probably stay home and find something else to gripe about.

This movie is the perfect option for anyone who cannot afford to go see the Glee concert. This film combines all the Glee favorites with three real stories from Glee fans across America. The film succeeds in making gleeks feel like a community and is sprinkled with gleeks expressing their love for the series. Through, the actors act as their own characters. Making the story that the real Glee Club has gone on a national tour. You'll see them dancing as acting just as they do on the show and it will be like watching on long episode of the show. And it was refreshing to hear their voices without the autotune. The use of 3D added to the magic of the show. This is not a movie that should be avoided due to a pretentious prejudice against 3Dglee. For a Gleek, this movie will be one giant valentine.

Been years since I watched Glee series but this came on HBO family so I figure why not in which it's meh. The show is way better even though I lost interest awhile ago I've wanted to watch the series again cause I never finished it. This concert movie is mediocre at best! A little inappropriate, heartbreaking to watch since a couple cast have passed away since and ridiculous amount singing for my liking! I like the documentary aspects the most with the interviews and side characters; some singing bits are great I'll admit!

A fun concert film, based on the original concert, it offers fans the chance to see some of the numbers from the show again on a larger scale.

The backstage stuff isn't overly interesting/funny though.

I am in love with Glee, but of course the tour doesn't come near me. This movie makes you feel like you're actually at the concert. The songs are great! They are mostly from season 2, but there are some from season 1. The message is really good and comes across nicely. The one thing I wished for was more commentary from the characters, and I would have liked to see some more skits. My mom was in the theater with me and she has never watched Glee before. She really enjoyed it and wants to put the Glee songs I already have on her iPod. (lol.) Some parts aren't really for younger kids even with it being just PG. Like I said, I didn't go to the concert and I really suggest that fans of Glee who also did not get to see it go to see this movie!

If you love Glee and wanna see the stars in their element, then this is definitely a movie for the gleeks!

The stars performed some of their greatest hits while showcasing the real life stories of 3 very big Glee fans. The stories are quite touching and the songs performed by the cast are so enjoyable. We also get a sneak peek of the cast backstage and special appearance by Holly Holiday(Gwyneth Paltrow).

Normally a concert movie in 3D would misuse 3D however this film is different, it used 3D well and it definitely added to the experience of the movie.

This is definitely just a fun movie where all the gleeks can go enjoy the songs, sing along and feel the true concert experience!

Even if you are not familiar with Glee, you will enjoy this movie if you are into musicals or singing and dancing. The movie is a vivacious documentary recounting life-changing experiences from Gleeks combined with Glee cast performances. Watching the entire cast of Glee perform is very entertaining and the 3D effect makes the movie so vivid and life-like. I felt like I was there enjoying the concert! The movie is very high-spirited and gives off good vibes and delivers positive messages such as have self-confidence and it is okay to be different. I like how the movie goes behind the scenes of the Glee cast because Gleeks and the rest of the audience can identify themselves with the various personalities of the characters. The movie has several scenes where Gleeks are interviewed about who their favorite character is or tell experiences about how relating to a certain character on the show helped them pull through a tough time. I recommend this movie to children 7 and up. It does not have inappropriate language, sexual scenes, and is not complicated or difficult to understand for children since there is not much of a storyline. The movie is also rated PG. Glee: The 3D Concert Movie is a fun movie pick to see with friends, but is also an engaging family film connecting both parents and kids through music. The wait is finally over! This movie will be coming out in theaters August 12, 2011.

When I first heard that the Glee 3D Concert is being made into a movie, I decided to check it out, since I am a Glee fan and all. However, after I finished watching this documentary movie of the concert, let's just say that there was no spark, no disappointment. Nothing. The movie was really short, and it did not feature some of the songs that were memorable from Glee. Nonetheless, I would not say that watching the concert on a movie was a complete waste because after all, it feels like I am more connected to the Glee characters through the live performance. For instance, when Chris Colfer was performing "I want to take your hand," there was so much emotions that I felt like I might actually cry.

The movie provides those who never got the chance to see people they idolize up on the big screen: as if they were there. For people like me, who couldn't afford the chance of seeing my favorite people in the world. This movie is beautiful, I could of seen more of backstage scenes and full songs, not the TV edited versions but none the less, watching Ambery Riley sing to me "Ain't No Way" and Lea Michele give a beautiful rendition of "Don't Rain on My Parade" <- Always a favorite. This movie deserves more good reviews than it has been receiving. Also, it's another chance to hear the beautiful voice and talent of the late Cory Monteith. For me? That makes this movie worth buying too see his shining face. Ever star shines on the screen. Naya Rivera and Heather Morris both bring down the house with Valerie (Harry Shum Jr. & the dancers add the extra kick-ass dancing to this song). Somebody To Love takes it all the way home. This movie is: Dazzling, bitter-sweet, joyful, and (cliche) Gleeful!!

If you really are a Glee fan this movie is well worth it. I was not able to go to the concert and was very glad they made a movie with it. My friend went to the concert and still loved the movie as the cameras can get a better view, as well as multiple views, of the stage. This is the first movie that I really appreciated 3D in a movie. The 3D affect made the dances pop. If seeing them sing and dance on T.V. fills you with glee, you will certainly get a rush seeing them in 3D. It was awesome! The glee cast shines as usual. If you are a person who can not wait until the next show each week, you definitely want to see this. I am glad I did. I hope they do this (concert and movie) at the end of each remaining season, and of course hope there are many more seasons!
