Silent Hill 2 Remake has thankfully brought back one of the most iconic monsters from the original game, the Bubble Head Nurse. These creepy creatures dressed like nurses are much more terrifying this time around with their improved looks and animations.
They are armed with a melee weapon and move quickly when James gets close, and act in a more unpredictable way, which makes them even more dangerous. This means players can easily get caught off guard, making the fight with them tougher. Killing a Bubble Head Nurse requires good timing and strategy. If you’re not careful, they’ll catch you with their fast attacks.
How to Kill Bubble Head Nurses in Silent Hill 2 Remake Always aim for the head when dealing with the Nurses in Silent Hill 2 Remake.

Danielle Jbali is asking for financial assistance to help pay for nursing school, but her critics think that should be 100 percent her responsibility.
The 90 Day Fiance Season 2 alum graduated nursing school in 2021 and has worked as an Lpn or licensed practical nurse.
Now that she’s worked in nursing for a few years, Danielle is ready to further her career and become an Rn, or registered nurse.
Going from an Lpn to an Rn means more schooling for Danielle. While someone can become an Lpn in 12-18 months, becoming an Rn typically takes two to four years.
More schooling means more tuition for the 51-year-old former reality TV star, and apparently, she’s having trouble making the payments.
Taking to her Instagram feed this week, Danielle uploaded a photo of herself from her lamp ceremony last year, which marked the halfway point for her Rn program.

The Night Nurse may not have been able to drag the Dead Boy Detectives out of the world of the living, but Netflix could. The streamer has canceled their adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s comics after just one season, TheWrap has learned.
The series starred Jayden Revri and George Rexstrew as Charles Rowland and Edwin Payne respectively, a pair of teenagers who were both killed unexpectedly. When they meet in the afterlife, they quickly become best friends and decide to team up to form a detective agency, which gives both the comics that served as the inspiration and the show itself its title.
Together, the ghosts solve supernatural mysteries that only they are capable of solving. The thing is, they aren’t supposed to hang around the world of the living. Because Edwin was technically a sacrifice (mostly unintentionally), he’s supposed to reside in hell. Both boys are on...

For as long as there have been films, there have been filmmakers attempting to enhance the theatrical experience through the use of gimmicks. From the red-eyed skeletons of William Castle to the “odorama” cards of John Waters’ Polyester, gimmicks are the puns of the filmmaking world: memorable and effective in small quantities, but annoying when overused.
That’s why I get why so many people reject 3D cinema. After all, modern theater screens ended up becoming oversaturated with lazily post-converted cash-grabs rather than movies that were shot on actual stereoscopic cameras. However, having just recently fixed my own aging 3D TV and binge-watched dozens of gimmicky genre films, I’m pleased to say that there are a surprising number of fun 3D experiences beyond the usual suspects.
With that in mind, here’s a list recommending six underrated horror movies that were shot in 3D!

Not sure that I would equate Tom Holland and Zendaya with the same level of triple-a star firepower as Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, but the last time I witnessed sheer frenzied pandemonium outside the Duke of York’s Theatre was when Taylor went to see Burton read excerpts from Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood in February 1982.
It was bonkers, with onlookers five deep on both sides of the street waiting for a glimpse of the superstar much-married Hollywood lovers.
Four decades on, I found myself at the same theatre that has stood on the site in St. Martin’s Lane since 1892.
This time it was the occasion of the official opening night for Jamie Lloyd’s stark, modern-dress production of Shakespeare’s The Most Excellent and Lamentable Tragedy of Romeo & Juliet, to give its full title, starring Holland and Francesca Amewudah-Rivers as the tragic star-crossed lovers.

"Good night, John-Boy. Good night, Elizabeth. And good night, daddy. Good night, son. And good night, mama. Good night, Mary Ellen. Good night, Jim Bob." Even if you've never watched a single moment of the classic TV show "The Waltons," the impact the series has had on television continues on even to this day. With the series' roots stemming back all the way to one of the most hated episodes of "The Twilight Zone" in history, references to "The Waltons" have extended all the way to films like 2016's "The Nice Guys," where Matt Bomber's villainous Dr. Malek is given the code name "John Boy" as he shares a similar facial birthmark to John-Boy actor Richard Thomas.
Created by Earl Hamner Jr., "The Waltons" centered on the titular family in rural Virginia during the Great Depression and World War II, based on Hamner Jr.'s book "Spencer's Mountain." With a...

Film-maker Alvin Gray rode a rollercoaster of emotions as a young woman went ‘missing’. The result was The Nurse That Saw the Baby on the Highway
When Carlee Russell “disappeared” on the evening of 13 July, the matter was treated with a seriousness that is rarely extended to cases of missing Black women and girls.
Pictures of the 26-year-old proliferated on social media, and police in her Hoover, Alabama, hometown launched a statewide dragnet. But as the circumstances of Russell’s disappearance became more clear, the established narrative quickly unraveled.

People like to tell you that film and television are basically interchangeable now, but that is far from the truth. Each medium has its own strengths, and while they utilize similar filmmaking techniques, the stories told in one medium are not necessarily suited to be transported to the other. In the case of television, stories are heavily reliant on a sturdy ensemble. Being a more condensed art form, films can so easily hone in on the inner life of one character, but with a long-running TV series, spending all your time with one person would become monotonous and give you a false sense of the world they inhabit.
This is especially true of sitcoms. Comedy is built on action and reaction, and to build that kind of back-and-forth, you are going to need a cast of characters to show up...

Bo Goldman, an Academy Award-winning screenwriter for One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975) and Melvin and Howard (1980), died Tuesday in Helendale, CA. He was 90.
Director Todd Field, his son-in-law, confirmed the death, but did not give a cause.
Goldman’s career took off when director Milos Forman read his first screenplay and invited him to adapt Ken Kesey’s “Cuckoo’s Nest” novel for film.
The resulting script shared screenwriting credit with Lawrence Hauben and won the Oscar for Best Screenplay Adapted from Other Material. The film was also named Best Picture, and earned Oscars for Forman, lead actor Jack Nicholson, and Louise Fletcher, who played Nurse Ratched.
In 1980, Melvin and Howard won Goldman his second Oscar, this time for Best Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen.
Goldman later worked with director Martin Brest on two other acclaimed films, Scent of a Woman (1992) and Meet Joe Black (1998).

Los Angeles, June 27 (Ians) Actress Laura Benanti, who has shared screen space with Jennifer Lawrence in ‘No Hard Feelings’, has gushed over the Oscar-winning actress and said that she is not a “princess”.
“You immediately forget she’s a movie star when you meet her,” said Laura Benanti.
“She’s so down to earth.”
Lawrence stars in ‘No Hard Feelings’ as an Uber driver who agrees to date a wealthy couple’s (Benanti and Matthew Broderick) socially awkward 19-year-old son (Andrew Barth Feldman) in exchange for a car, reports ‘Variety’.
“Sure, at first I was nervous because it’s like, ‘How are you so beautiful?’” Benanti said of Lawrence. “But then I was immediately laughing with her. She’s so funny, silly and a hard worker. She’s not a princess. She is comfortable being uncomfortable.”
In one much-buzzed-about scene, Lawrence is completely naked during an epic fight on the beach.

Michael Learned’s latest TV role is a far cry from Olivia Walton. Eddie Redmayne has admitted he relished the opportunity to play a murderer in The Good Nurse after starring in Fantastic Beasts.
The British actor and Jessica Chastain are receiving rave reviews for their roles in the new Netflix serial killer drama.
Based on a true story, The Good Nurse follows Charles Cullen (Redmayne), a nurse who murders dozens – perhaps even hundreds – of patients over the course of a 16-year period. Chastain plays Cullen’s colleague who helped get him arrested, Amy Loughren.
It’s quite a turn for Redmayne who has long played the affable, harebrained wizard Newt Scamander in Jk Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts saga, which culminated in The Secrets of Dumbledore this year.
In a new interview with The Los Angeles Times, Redmayne said he relished the opportunity to portray a darker character off the back of the family film series.

We all know "The Sopranos" was one of the best shows in history, but we don't talk enough about how it also had some of the best cameos in TV history. Many of the great ones involved famous figures playing themselves, like when Christopher (Michael Imperioli) pitches a project to Sir Ben Kingsley or when Frank Sinatra Jr. and David Lee Roth attend poker games alongside Tony (James Gandolfini). But there were also some noteworthy cameos from actors who hadn't made it big yet when they appeared on David Chase's crime opus, including a pre-"Arrested Development" Tony Hale.
At this point, Hale has had a varied and lengthy comedy career, appearing in shows like the hilarious political satire "Veep" and "Harley Quinn," and films like "Stranger Than Fiction" and "Hocus Pocus 2." The actor is best known, though, for his turn as Buster Bluth on the cult favorite sitcom "Arrested Development.

For The Good Nurse brain trust of director Tobias Lindholm and writer Krysty Wilson-Cairns, the question is how, not why.
In the Netflix thriller-drama, Lindholm and Wilson-Cairns tell the true story of how a compassionate ICU nurse named Amy Loughren (Jessica Chastain) managed to take down fellow nurse Charles Cullen (Eddie Redmayne), arguably the deadliest serial killer in American history. Loughren showed tremendous bravery at a time when she was not only raising two daughters by herself, but also dealing with a life-threatening heart condition without health insurance.
The film also puts a spotlight on the many hospitals that turned a blind eye to Cullen’s behavior, exposing even more flaws in the U.S. healthcare system. Cullen ultimately pled guilty to the murders of 29 patients, but the actual number over the course of his 16-year nursing career is in the ballpark of 400.

Plot: “Rosaline” is a fresh and comedic twist on Shakespeare’s classic love story “Romeo & Juliet,” told from the perspective of Juliet’s cousin Rosaline, who also happens to be Romeo’s recent love interest. Heartbroken when Romeo meets Juliet and begins to pursue her, Rosaline schemes to foil the famous romance and win back her guy.
Review: Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare’s classic romance, has been adapted so many times that recent years have seen animated versions (Gnomeo & Juliet), zombie versions (Warm Bodies), musical versions (Camp Rock 2), and cheerleading versions (Bring It On: In It to Win it) in addition to traditional takes (Julian Fellowes’ 2013 version). While this play remains required reading for high schoolers around the world, the iambic pentameter doesn’t prevent teens from relating to the hormonal urges of the titular Capulet and Montagues who find themselves as star-crossed lovers. Still, another retelling is here...

This is something of a bar trivia question, but which actor would you suspect has appeared in "Star Trek" the most?
Thanks to the franchise's longevity, and long-held, bloody-minded insistence toward continuity, an actor can return to multiple "Trek" shows over the course of many decades. As such, some actors who signed on to play certain roles in their teen years may still be making appearances on "Star Trek: Picard" 35 years later. The makers of "Trek" also tends to be very loyal to its actors, often bringing back performers to fill central roles years after they showed up as a background character. Armin Shimerman, for instance, appeared as a talking treasure chest and as a random Ferengi character on "Next Generation" years before being cast as Quark on "Deep Space Nine." And Tim Russ was once a terrorist on the Enterprise prior to playing Tuvok on "Voyager."

Here in its near entirety are the streaming and some theatrical dates for Netflix’s fall and holiday movie lineup.
Many of these streaming dates have already been out there, i.e. the TIFF world premiere Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery hitting the service on Dec. 23 (yet still not theatrically dated). Boone, Button-Face & Barker.
After five weeks of discussing hilarious camp with Drop Dead Gorgeous, Nurse 3D, Female Trouble, Flesh for Frankenstein, and Sleepaway Camp, we went back to some more serious horror with a look at John Carpenter’s Someone’s Watching Me! last week. Now, we’re discussing the troubled production and queer allegory at the center of Clive Barker‘s Nightbreed (1990)!
In the film, Aaron Boone (Craig Sheffer) is haunted by terrifying nightmares of a city of monsters. He goes to see a psychiatrist, Dr. Decker (David Cronenberg), for help. But what Boone doesn’t know is that Decker is really a serial killer. Decker frames Boone to take the fall for his murders, and Boone is killed by the police. But Boone is brought back to life by the monsters of his dreams, the Nightbreed, who in turn join Boone in his quest to stop Decker from killing again.

You ever notice how HBO’s releases tend to do the heavy lifting in HBO Max’s content library? That makes plenty of sense given that HBO has a track record of producing hits well before the streaming era even began. Well, a similar concept is now playing out over on Hulu. Like many monthly releases before it, Hulu’s list of new releases for August 2022 is highlighted by a whole bunch of FX TV shows.
The initiative once known as “FX on Hulu” is no more but that’s not stopping the cable network-turned quality TV brand from churning out some intriguing titles for the streaming world this month. It all starts early on with season 2 of the delightful comedy Reservation Dogs on Aug. 3. That is followed up by the docuseries Children of the Underground on Aug. 13, Little Demon on Aug. 26, and The Patient of Aug. 30. The most interesting of the bunch,...

Emmy voters certainly didn’t spread the wealth around with the 2022 nominations. Five of the seven supporting actress in a limited series or TV movie went to HBO’s “The White Lotus.” Four of the six guest actor in a drama series noms were nabbed by HBO’s “Succession.” And HBO Max’s “Hacks” scored four of the six guest actress in a comedy series nominations.
But multiple nominations in one category isn’t anything new in the Emmy universe. In fact, Emmy history was made 40 years ago when NBC’s landmark police procedural drama “Hill Street Blues” earned all five nominations for supporting actor in a drama series. Michael Conrad won his second consecutive Emmy as Sgt. Phil Esterhaus, who would end the morning roll call meetings with “Let’s be careful out there.” Conrad faced competition from the series’ Taurean Blacque, Charles Haid, Michael Warren and Bruce Weitz.

Star Trek TV shows are multiplying like Tribbles these days. History was made in a monumental way with the announcement of the 2021 Primetime Emmy nominations as Mj Rodriguez (“Pose”) became the first trans lead acting nominee. This year also marks the first instance of three Black women being included in the same Best Drama Actress lineup, as Rodriguez is up against Uzo Aduba (“In Treatment”) and Jurnee Smollett (“Lovecraft Country”). Any of them would be only the third Black winner of this award, and a victory by Rodriguez or Smollett would be even more distinctive in that either of them would be the first actress in a quarter century to snag this award for a final season.
“Pose” wrapped its three-season run in June with a proper two-part finale, while “Lovecraft Country” was unexpectedly cancelled in July after having aired its inaugural season’s last episode nine months earlier. While female stars of drama series have been nominated for final...

Back when WarnerMedia (which technically no longer exists in the same form) announced that it would be premiering its entire slate of 2021 films on HBO Max, this is the kind of month they likely had in mind. The Suicide Squad is set to premiere Aug. 5 on HBO Max. This film featuring some of DC Comics’ most curious villains borrows its name, format, and many of its characters from the David Ayers-directed 2016 film Suicide Squad. This time around, the rogues gallery is directing by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) and his colorful disposition. Sitting somewhere between a TV event and a ready made film franchise, the second part of Netflix’s Fear Street trilogy transports us back to the late ’70s and into the heyday of the slasher movie. Bookended with our core ’90s-set story, this segment recounts the tale of the Camp Nightwing massacre, as relayed by C. Berman (Gillian Jacobs), the sole survivor of the slayings. Loosely based on the books by R.L. Stine but leaning into a hard R-rating Fear Street Part Two: 1978 is teen-centric but is about as suitable for teenage viewers as its influences–i.e. it depends on the kid.
Playing with late ‘70s and early ‘80s stalk and slash traditions, the movie is most clearly influenced by Friday the 13th and provides an origin story for a masked killer similar to Jason Voorhees. But just like Fear Street Part 1: 1994, the sequel takes pleasure in...

The 86-year-old actress talks about her emotional acceptance speech after winning for “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”
When friends come over to visit Louise Fletcher at her Los Angeles condo, many are eager to take a look at one eight-pound object, which sits on a bookshelf along with other gadgets and mementos in her small office. “It’s usually the first thing they want to see, even before they see me,” Fletcher told TheWrap with a hearty laugh. “They always ask if they can hold it and they always say, ‘Oh, it’s heavy.'”
For sure, it is heavy. Fletcher is referring to the Academy Award that she won 45 years ago, on March 29, 1976. Night Nurse: Faith Finds the Night the Lights Went Out on the Patriarchy in Moody Debt
Director Corinna Faith makes fine use of period and metaphor in her directorial debut The Power, which feels most persuasive when utilizing its greatest potential of fearing what can’t be seen—especially when there are a myriad of insidious humans lurking in the shadows of a 1970s era hospital who happen to be colleagues and not patients.
Set during a specific period in 1974, when the conservative Heath ministry dictated the Three-Day Week, whereby commercial use of electricity was restricted to conserve electricity, a passive young nurse finds herself forced to work a night shift in an unsavory East London hospital.…...

Over a decade later, Carey Mulligan may finally be able to return to an Oscars ceremony as a nominee with “Promising Young Woman.”
In 2009, the London-born performer delivered her breakout role in Lone Scherfig’s “An Education” and mustered an Oscar nomination for best actress. Since then, she’s been caught in what I call “one-nomination purgatory” – a place where talented actors are held and, despite awards-worthy turns, can’t muster enough buzz to nab their second nomination. Since 2010, she’s missed out on mentions for “Shame,” “Inside Llewyn Davis” and “Wildlife,” garnering outstanding reviews but coming up short. Could this finally be her invitation back? The reception and reviews so far indicate it could be.
As Cassandra Thomas, a smart and cunning woman righting the wrongs of her past, the 35-year-old is sensationally equipped and compelling in delivering one of her strongest turns yet. The film and performance check...

Dancing With the Stars sure does love Halloween. Tonight we saw dances performed by Hannibal Lecter, Norman Bates, Maleficent, Nurse Ratched, Cruella De Vil, Chucky and more spooky villains embodied by the cast of Dancing With the Stars. Things got weird both in a Halloween way and in the usual way as top scorers became bottom scorers and nothing made any sense at all. A week after she scored all nines, Monica Aldama's Nurse Ratched failed to impress and she landed in the bottom with a 22. The judges chose to save Jeannie Mai over Monica, sending the Cheer coach home. In happier news, Nev Schulman got the top score of the season with all 10s for his Black Swan performance, followed...
