It was initially reported in 2017 that Yang Mi will star in the drama adaptation that is being co-produced by Jaywalk Studios.
It continues the story Once and Forever: The Sun Rises which follows the characters in high school.
The booting ceremony was held on March 1, 2021 with Guan Xiaotong as the leading lady.
