Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to make her digital debut with a project with Netflix in a crime-thriller directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Kareena, who will be seen in a gritty role, says after 23 years in Hindi cinema the digital debut feels like a new launch.

Kareena said: “I am excited to be coming on Netflix with a very special project . After 23 years, this feels like a new launch and I have the jitters of a new-comer! Audiences will see me in a role I have never played before, with a story that is so unique and thrilling.”

Kareena and Aamir will together be seen in their upcoming film "Laal Singh Chaddha".

National Award-winning actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has worked with several talented female filmmakers in his career. Nandita Das called the shots in "Firaaq" and "Manto", Reema Kagti directed "Talaash" and, recently, Tannishtha Chatterjee wielded the megaphone in the upcoming "Roam Rome Mein". Siddiqui says as an actor he does not differentiate between talents based on gender.

"When I work with a filmmaker, I am not concerned about the gender of the storyteller. For me, whether it is Nandita or Tannishtha, they are talented storytellers. They came to me with a vision and I am participating in telling their stories on screen. For me, what matters the most is creativity, and I have to be on the same wavelength with the director. Talent should not be celebrated on the basis of gender. So, when Tannishtha was directing me, not for a single moment did I feel that a woman was giving direction.

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who has almost completed two decades in the industry, says she was born to act and that she will hopefully do it till the end of her life.

Kareena made her acting debut with "Refugee" along with Abhishek Bachchan in 2000.

Akshay Kumar has begun filming for his next project. Directed by Reema Kagti of Talaash fame, the film is titled Gold and is set for release August of 2018.

The film, according to Kagti in an earlier interview is ‘based on a historic hockey match that India played at the 1948 Olympics and brought home India’s first gold medal.’

She said, “Mine would be a fictional take on what actually happened. The game of hockey would feature prominently in the plot. But there will also be a strong human drama playing at the forefront. And it wouldn’t be just the Olympics victory in 1948 we will be looking at. Gold will look at 12 crucial years in India’s history.”

Bhushan Kumar, the head honcho of T-Series, announced the acquisition of the most awaited films of the year Dil Dhadakne Do and Bangistan. After the successful endeavor with Yaariyan, Jai Ho, Highway, Shaadi Ke Side Effects, Queen, Hate Story 2, and Kick T-Series now holds music rights of Dil Dhadakne Do starring Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Anushka Sharma, Anil Kapoor, Rahul Bose and Shefali Shah, directed by Zoya Akhtar. Another awaited film is Bangistan starring Riteish Deshmukh, Pulkit Samrat and Jacqueline Fernandez, directed by debutant Karan Anshuman. The actor revealed something very interesting about how he became a part of the project. “When they were writing the script, Sajid Nadiadwala said this role will only do for Nawaz.

After Reema Kagti's directorial venture Talaash featuring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor, released back in 2012, there were reports that Kagti had commenced work on her next. While at that time it was learnt that Kagti would be developing the script with best friend Zoya Akhtar, details were unavailable.

Now a couple of years later we hear that Reema is all set with her film that will feature none other than Saif Ali Khan and Kangna Ranaut in the lead. Co-written by Reema's best friend and partner in writing, Zoya Akhtar, the film is said to be a love story about two opposite kinds of people who fall in love with each other.

The yet untitled film is expected to go on floor in the first quarter of 2015.
