I'm a major fan of semi-silly holiday horror movies. So this little beauty is right up my alley and I've got to say as a fan of the genre, this show seems to be dead on the mark. I can't wait to see the rest of the episodes!
The dialogue is as punchy as it can be while still setting up the story in only a few minutes. This review is being written after just the first episode of the series, so I expect the dialogue to free up a little and get even edgier when all hell's breaking loose.
The acting is great for something like this. Usually this stuff gets sub-par quality actors but not here. They're all great and I've actually seen them all before in other things I like.
It's shot and lit like a serious horror film. Almost like a, dare I say, Michael Bay horror re- make. So the contrast of serious horror and very dark comedic scripting, is working great! At least it is for me!!!
I can't wait to see how zombified the Santa gets by the end! I'm already planning to be zombie Santa next Halloween when I take my son trick or treating and now it goes without saying, I must dress him up as Dick the elf!
