Avengers: Infinity War is set to be the biggest movie in the McU yet, so you can bet that it’ll have major repercussions for the franchise going forward. In particular, there are two Marvel films coming out in between the third Avengers installment and its currently untitled sequel Avengers 4. Namely, Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel.
In a chat during a set visit last year, Infinity War screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely talked a little bit about how the film would affect the following entries in the McU. As their comments date back to 2017, they refer to Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther as well, but the mentions of the movies yet to released will be of most interest. In particular, the duo opened up about the challenge of balancing their story with other McU efforts.

In this week of Doctor Who celebration, Andrew salutes just a few of the individuals whose talent and hard work made the show what it is...
In the history of Doctor Who there are many names in the end credits that always seem to stand out. For some reason, I always look out for Alec Wheal in Eighties Who credits or, since 2005, the Script Editor. Over the years there have been hundreds of unsung contributors behind the scenes, and this article seeks to celebrate a handful of those who put in one helluva slog for our benefit.
Oh, and in researching this article I discovered that Dorka Nieradzik – who worked on Logopolis, Revelation of the Daleks and Silver Nemesis to name but a few – now appears to be Clive Owen's personal Hair and Make Up Artist.
It's not really relevant or anything, but...

Take One Action | Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival | Into Unknown Territory: The Cinema Of Roland Klick | Raindance Film Festival
Take One Action, Edinburgh & Glasgow
Think globally and watch locally with this respected social action festival. There are big topics here, addressed through drama and documentary and invariably accompanied by panel discussions. A new "Sisters" strand puts women's stories to the fore but the opener, Fire In The Blood, takes a detailed look at Big Pharma and its control over medical drugs. Elsewhere, nuclear orthodoxy is challenged in Pandora's Promise, and other topics up for inspection include Russian politics, HIV and urbanisation.
Edinburgh Filmhouse & Glasgow Film Theatre, Fri to 12 Oct
Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival
The tourist-friendly Northumberland border town has found an ingenious way of attracting visitors: by turning the whole town into a "living cinema". New video artworks and site-specific installations have been commissioned for some of Berwick-upon-Tweed's celebrated landmarks.

WikiLeaks founder to judge films at the 21st Raindance Film Festival; 2013 line-up unveiled.Scroll down for full line-up of films
Julian Assange has joined the jury of the 21st Raindance Film Festival (Sept 25 - Oct 6), a London-based event that celebrates independent film in the UK and around the world.
The appointment is a controversial one. The Australian editor-in-chief and founder of WikiLeaks took refuge in the Ecuadorean embassy in London in June 2012 to avoid extradition to Sweden, where he is wanted for questioning about sexual assault allegations.
It is understood that he fears Sweden would extradite him to the Us, where he believes he is wanted in relation to WikiLeaks’ disclosure of a significant amount of classified Us military and diplomatic documents.
Commenting on Assange’s appointment, Raindance founder Elliot Grove said: “Every year Raindance invites interesting people to join our jury. In the past we have had musicians like Mick Jones, Marky Ramone and [link...

Comic Con hasn’t been strictly superheroes in a long, long time. We have scoured the schedule for this year’s event and have pulled out the dark, the bloody, the monstrous, and the ghostly panels that look to be right up FEARnet readers’s alley.
Paranormal Passion Panel
Authors discuss the inclusion of romantic elements in their action-packed novels. Protagonists must battle the forces of evil while trying to keep the world (and often their lovers) safe from destruction. Maryelizabeth Hart of Mysterious Galaxy leads a discussion with Comic-Con special guest Christine Feehan (The Dark Series), Claudia Gray (Spellcaster), Aprilynne Pike (Earthbound), Lauren Kate (The Fallen Novels), Kendare Blake (Antigoddess), and Magnus Flyte (City of Dark Magic).

Setting a sci-fi comedy about intergalactic adventures in modern Dublin, which also deals with grown-up themes of self-delusion and reality seems at once a hugely ambitious move. Add in the fact that the film features both a rather touching love story and absurd alien bounty hunters and the task seems unimaginable. However, this is exactly what writer-director Alan Brennan has done with his debut feature film, the new Irish release 'Earthbound'.

Romantic comedy The F Word already boasts the talents of Daniel Radcliffe, Zoe Kazan, Mackenzie Davis and Adam Driver in its cast. But now, as it gears up to begin filming, the cast has swelled to include Prometheus’ Rafe Spall and Charlie Bartlett’s Megan Park.Michael Dowse is directing the movie based on Elan Mastai’s script. The plot finds Radcliffe and Kazan meeting at a party and really hitting it off. But she has a long-term boyfriend (Spall), so the pair decide to be friends. But as Harry and Sally could tell us, that’s not always the easiest thing in the world.Dowse kicks things off this week in Toronto before moving to Dublin.Spall clearly survived his encounter with nasty alien creatures in Ridley Scott’s latest and has Earthbound, I Give It A Year and Life Of Pi all set for release. Park, who was last seen in Guns,...

I can't remember a time I went to the Seattle International Film Festival (Siff) press launch and looked over the list of films and saw so many I was interested in seeing. The claim to fame for over the years is to call it the largest and most-highly attended festival in the United States. This is a fact I've often taken issue with as I don't equate quantity with quality. Granted, there has been a large number of quality features to play the fest over the years, including Golden Space Needle (Best Film) winners such as Kiss of the Spider Woman (1985), My Life as a Dog (1987), Trainspotting (1996), Run Lola Run (1999), Whale Rider (2003) and even recent Best Director winner, Michel Hazanavicius's Oss 117: Nest of Spies in 2006. That said, looking over this year's crop of films I see a lot of films I will be doing my absolute best to see.
