The film was Priyadarshan's return to serious films but didn't do well. It also marked the comeback of Ajay and Akshaye together after Deewangee (2002).
This movie is a scene-by-scene copy of 1988 Hollywood movie Mississippi Burning.
Ajay and Akshaye Khanna worked 8 years after Deewangee together and stangely Akshaye had a similar wig too.
One of the earlier films of Jaideep Ahlawat as villain. He played villain in same year in two Priydarshan films, Aakrosh and Khatta Meetha. But he really got recognized 2 year later from playing a minor role in Gangs of Wasseypur part 1.
Paresh Rawal played a villain in this film and RANN in the same year after a hiatus.
