TMKOC was a brilliant concept, a complete family entertainer and a show which can be watched with kids and persons of all age.
Somehow, the show is loosing its appeal as it is being too much dragged and it's like there is no engagging stories left with the makers.
Dilip Joshi is still the strongest pillar of the show but I somehow sense the end of the show is near.
TMKOC was a great entertainer till couple of years back, now it has become somewhat boring.
Having said that, I personally feel still this show is better than all the other craps that are out on Indian Television.

Taarak mehta ka ulta chashma is one of the best show on Indian Television. I really love this show. The show is based on the happenings of a society named Gokuldham. It is based on the day to day life of its members. The society members are from different Indian cultures & communities and still they live together in peace and harmony. They celebrate festivals with each other. There are lots of characters on the show & every character is unique and funny. The story revolves around the Jethalal and his family. There is a kids party called as Taapu Sena. The thing i love in this show is, it teach us how different religions people can live together in peace. Laugh and Learn... Totally Recommended...
This show was always a perfect comedy show until 2015-16 .....
I love the older TMKOC so much that I still watch old episodes and never get bored.
But the newer episodes suck👎

Old episodes were best and now they r too slow and boring. More a government promotion of schemes s a social network.
They turned it from a sitcom to a soap opera. First 900 or so episodes are unmatched
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah is an excellent show...A complete entertainer. All the characters starting from Jethalal to part time actors like inspector Pandey are simply superb. I love to watch the show again and again everyday. I make it a point not to miss a single episode of the serial. waiting anxiously for the program to complete 1000 episodes. Alongwith complete laugh riot, the serial presents lots of useful social messages...Every character plays their role to perfection. Jethalal is superb, and Daya Bhabhi is excellent. Mehta saheb, anjali bhabhi, Bhide, Mrs Bhide, Mrs and Mr Hathi, Mrs and Mr Roshan, Rita, Iyer, Babita, Popatlal, Abdul, Sunder, Natu Kaka, Bagha, Tapu Sena...all are just fabulous.

I don't understand Hindi much, but this serial WAS amazing. Story, Action and everything WAS amazing (till 2013/or 2014). I did not see this kind of clean comedy anywhere. English Sitcoms are also amazing, but they are mostly based on Adult content.
Since one year, the quality has been degrading, very much.
If they don't improve it, the viewer-ship will RAPIDLY be going down. And coming to Male or Female domination, we should think this is just for fun. There are Female dominated/oriented families (Ayyar and Babitha, Madhavi and Bhide), so we can not point out this. Overall, this was amazing and hilarious serial. But now, everything is very very boring. Direction, Story, Action, Settings, and even the camera as well.

There is comedy and also some learning behind most of the stories. Honestly speaking I have implemented many of the learning in my real life(like the swachchta mission by babuji, installing a water box for passerby, animals and birds etc.)Overall.Excellent.10/10.
It is probably one of the best Indian television show ever. It is the perfect blend of comedy, emotions and social awareness that come out of day to day events of Gokuldhamvasi. All the actors/actresses are awesome, specially Jethalal Gada. The way Jethalal faces everyday problems and humour and comedy came out of it is simply awesome. It also reflects the social problems residing in our country in very unique and humors way. TV series depicts the Gokuldham society in which all the society members are from the different parts of the India but they all live like a family. They celebrates all the festivals together. All the characters have perfected their roles. If you haven't watched it already I strongly recommend it. You will love this show.

Very nice comedy serial to watch with all family/friends. We are watching since the first. So many changes get found in this long time. All are my favorite character in this comedy serial. Specially Jetha Lal. Enjoyed a lot with each & every character & episode. To get more enjoy, more happiness it need some differences/changes. I was just thinking to add/enter one more character A Bihari Family in Gokuldhaam Society to add much fun & something new for all. So many things are there in Bihari Family life like others different Indian cultures family. Some special festival are there which we celebrate with all. So many dishes & recipes are there which could be the part of entertainment. The style of language could be make more interesting part of comedy. So many twist due to Bihari could be the best comedy. It can be made more enthusiastic, more comedy, more entertainment & more funny serial.
Its just I thought & share to you all first time, sorry if mistake....

the show is based on based on column Duniya Na Oondha Chashmah which loosely translates to "Seeing the World through Upside-Down Glasses" written by columnist and journalist Taarak Mehta for the Gujarati weekly magazine Chitralekha. The serial is set in a fictitious "Gokuldham Co-Operative Housing Society" in Mumbai, where people from different religious and social backgrounds live together. Mainly show is based on Character Jethalal Gada and his countless trouble. Which make this serial much funnier. This show not only makes you laughter but also give you a lesson that this generation should need to learn. Yes there are some bad sides of this show. they are showing such wrong things that they should not show. such blind believes and such myths. thats why some time this show make me mad. The Show completes its 1000 episode. i don't know how. this is just an average show.

Ashit Modi has not given full attention to reviews. This show was good before now it is something else.
Started out with a good response but now it seems to have lost the plot. Endless festivals and same old story line has pulled down the popularity of this show.

I grew up watching TMKOC and I loved it. Even now I can watch the old episodes but the new ones are terrible! It used to be a COMEDY show that made fun of other Indians serials with the zoom-ins and dramatic 'dhumtananana', but now even TMKOC does the same. It is too BRIGHT and too good to be true now with too much love between neighbours and no one looks middle class. Bapuji is like a saint now who is the most knowledgeable and spiritual, but he used to be a funny idiotic character. Everything has changed, just Jethalal is still keeping it together with his role. Please bring the old TMKOC back. In this show, the older, the better. The first 800-1100 episodes were great. First 500 were excellent! So please make it more real, more believable, more relatable.

Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah is difficult to review because of it's large number of episodes which range from simply superb to totally awful, which is also true about The Simpsons. My intention is to express my love for roughly the FIRST 300 EPISODES that have infused a recurring joy in my life and maybe millions of others too.
It's a sitcom about the families living in Gokuldham Society. There are Gujaratis, Marathis, Punjabis, Bengalis, Tamilians, etc all forming this multicultural society that is united in good times and bad. It's an ideal society to live in and here's an awesome spoof news article of that fact http://my.fakingnews.firstpost.com/entertainment /man-sues-tarak-mehta-ka-oolta-chashma-as-he- fails-to-locate-gokuldham-society-in-mumbai- 7013.
The main characters are of Gada Family, Jethalal Gada, a Kutchi Gujarati businessman, his wife Daya, son Tapu and father Champaklal Gada. Another prominent character is Atmaram Bhidhe, a Marathi tuition teacher who is frugal and the secretary of the society. There's also Nattu Kaka who works at Jethalal's electronics shop. I find rest of the characters pretty one-note, but really great as supporting roles.
There is such a broad range of comedy in the series. There are very realistic and relatable situations and story lines that transform into a farce via comedy of errors and where everything that can go wrong does in the life of Jethalal. The results are non stop laughs. For example, Episode XYZ. Daya wants Tapu Ke Papa Gada to be healthy and slim down and few episodes later all members of the society end up in jail. Now how that one hilarious situation leads to another could be considered a perfect example of a domino effect or a chain reaction.
And often there are some genius and hilarious physical comedy and slapstick elements. You can often see the poster of Charlie Chaplin behind Taarak Mehta when he concludes the episode with a message. But instead of Charlie Chaplin, I would like to reference Jacques Tati when describing a lot of humorous elements of the show like observational humor, using architectural elements in deriving comedy, ensemble of people doing choreographed comedy and creating striking imagery, for example, when everybody is out there getting the obese Dr. Hathi out of a rickshaw that he is stuck inside of.
The actors have played their characters with great charm and nuances that have made them such big household names. The show's humor is always good natured and it often carries social messages because they know they are a powerful medium and the audiences share a direct relationship with these characters. This show's format is of a daily soap but a comedy one and people look forward to it and unwind on weekends or weeknights watching it, just like how the men of the society gather for a soda at Abdul's every night and the ladies sit in the chairs in the circle and chatter. It's an omnipresent show, always on-air, in barbershops, while waiting for your turn at the clinic, TV showrooms.
I wish they had kept the quality intact and not focus on quantity. I hope that despite it's majority of episodes being really lazy and cringeworthy, it gets recognized as a masterpiece for it's first 300 episodes or so and someday the makers produce that quality of work again.

The best show ever on Indian Television. It is a perfect blend of comedy, feelings, friendship, love , innocence. Every series teaches some good lessons.
Gokuldham is an ideal society. Everyone in India wants to live in such a society. The characters like Jethalal , Daya , Bapuji, Bhide etc are very inspiring. Specially Jetha Lal , he faces so many challenges frequently but always smiles and face every tough situation. Daya ben shows an ideal character of a wife, mother, daughter in law, sister and a neighbour. I personally have learned many lessons from this show like how to react in the tough conditions, how to work in a team etc. 10 on 10 for this show keep it up.....

TMKOC writers really need to be changed as soon as possible or the show is going to lose its popularity very soon which is already on a downfall. The show doesn't have any content and any viewer can easily tell they are just extending a story unnecessarily.
Aaisa hi chalta raha then 2020 se pehle bandh ho jayega show..!!

Congratulations to the creator's for creating a new genre i.e BAKCHODI
For the last 7 years this show has only gone downhill.
It's not only about the writers who should actually be unemployed at this point for writing such stories but the acting has been cringe worthy from the entire cast especially tapu sena.
