Featured review
After great success at the turn of the century, and some bombastic hits later on (even collaborating on the all-time blockbuster "Pirates") Adam & Eve has slid downhill on a steep slope in recent years, as witness this mindless junker. Of course, it generated a sequel, perhaps out of inertia.
What passes for a premise is budding entrepreneur Kayden Kross working on becoming rich & famous by franchising her idea for a school to teach cheer-leading. Not since the creation of Trump University has such a fraudulent effort been launched.
That's because there's no cheer-leading or training in this nearly 2-hour saga. Just pretty girls, some of them quite famous, standing around or pole dancing, before humping. I've watched many a Jim Malibu movie, sometimes feeling a bit like Malcolm McDowell with toothpicks keeping his eyes open to watch violent footage in "A Clockwork Orange", and this is worse than usual.
The team that produced this is known as "Jim Bob and the James Gang", perhaps inspired by the inverted bad taste that briefly made Joe Bob Briggs a household name (not!) in movie circles back in the '80s & '90s. They share with him, a colleague I worked with back when he used his real name John Bloom, a pretend low-brow attitude, and the result here is no-brow.
Any film that takes the great Nicole Ray and talented Gracie Glam and wastes them completely is not worth sitting through.
