An underground horror anthology featuring short films with themes of Necrophilia brought to you by cult underground film directors from across the globe.
This was a somewhat enjoyable if generally overall slightly flawed effort. What works here is the general sense of depravity on display here with the segments being incredibly free and open with their sleazier qualities. Considering the general tone and topic revolving around the segments dealing with necrophilia, the overall grimy atmosphere and sickening actions here are to be expected which renders them quite naturally shocking. From the look and attitude of the decaying bodies being shown here to the frequent dips into hardcore sex that takes place knowing that the body is already dead or in the process of decaying while it's being fondled or screwed that takes place frequently throughout here. Most of the segments focus on total nudity that doesn't just include hardcore sex but other forms of sexual stimulation and erotic play that's being done with a corpse as the focal point manages to maintain a rather disturbing feeling just as much as the concepts at play. That said, there are some issues with this one. Way too many of the stories here rely mainly on the idea of the desecration of the corpse without going into too much detail as to why it's happening, rendering a lot of the shock to be based on what's occurring on-screen. However, with the entire anthology being a non-stop excuse for that going on there's not much difference between the segments so something has to stick out in the endless parade of nude bodies both living and dead. An examination into the nature of what would compel the person to carry out what's going on, yet it just dives into it without much explanation so it's somewhat pointless at times just going through the motions of the scenes. As well, with the film ending on the bloopers and outtakes of the segments alongside the trailer section that only bumps up the running time, it only serves to highlight how painfully short this was so adding in some more detail to several of the shorts would've been a great addition. Overall, these aspects are what holds this back overall.
