I've been doing a rewatch of this show on Paramount+ because its been 10 years it aired and about 7 years since I last watched it. The thing that made this show so great for its time was that it was the first time Nickelodeon released something that didn't overuse a laugh track. Despite it being a remake, it still bad it's qaulities. Yeah it could be a bit cringe sometimes but other than its flaws, still was an enjoyable rewatch.

When I first saw this saw back in the middle of my 6th grade year I didn't know what to expect. A story-driven comedy adventure airing on Nick? Surprisingly though it works really well. While there are some "childish" moments there is indeed a very interesting plot through each of the 3 seasons (I haven't finished the third season so I can't really say.. I stopped following after my 7th grade year with Season 2) Of the approximate 60 episodes per season each totaling at about 11 minutes per episode there is just enough to push each plot and to leave the viewer coming back the next day with even more questions.
Upon re-watching it, a few things I must mention to an older, 17+ audience: The characters, while starting a bit obnoxious, really come into their own as the series continues and the drama rises. The acting is... meh. Some are decent actors but a lot of them wear the British twang a bit too much (Patricia specifically) which leads to some borderline "Whine" like performances and line delivery.
The comedy is usually childish with some annoying noises and characters acting silly... but as the series goes on and you learn more about the characters the jokes go from slapstick "meh" fest to really funny character jabs. (One of my favorites is when the make fun of Victor in season 2)
The show really becomes second nature and I have many fond memories of Season 2's middle being EXCELLENT. The plot in the first two seasons are convoluted to a point where it becomes a Joy (pun not intended) to watch unfold and how many ties the different strings of the mysteries really have.
Overall, give this show a shot.. like what you see? (The sometimes corny-British heavy mystery serialized show) Then defiantly check out Season 2.

There are three seasons. So going into this i knew it was nickelodeon's series so i had low expectations.
So season one starts when Nina comes and everything else follows that. I not gonna be going into details. So the plot is kinda interesting and the sneaking is interesting but, after a while it just becomes boring, Acting is not the best in any case i think the main actress who portrays Nina just can't act. Characters are interesting but i would have loved if some of them got more love on the writing table.
Then we have season two that i think was the best of three. I had much more interesting plot and character interactions. Some characters that were not explored so mush in season one got more love. But still after that plot gets a little bit boring and then they introduce us to the subplot of collector. (That was little predictable who he is.) If there were more subplot and they got more love that part would be better. Acting was still not great but i think i saw some improvement on actress of Nina. Last episode of the season could be one of the best but i don't think it ended good on the half of Osiran and that stuff.
And there is the third season. I think they should have finished at the second season. The season is just not that great. I think it's stupid that Eddie became the leader of their group. I think he would be better in supporting role like in the second season. New characters are just stupid and the KT girl was just so forced. I mean i understand why they did it i i just wish they didn't when they knew.
But that just mine opinion.
But that just mine opinion.
I loved this show as a kid and you can imagine my excitement when NickHits came out on amazon prime!! The acting is...a hit or miss at times and the transitional camera angles can be wonky. I never noticed this as a kid and only know that I'm taking classes for this am I noticing it.
All of this is made up for with the plot. It's an amazing plot and I highly recommend this show!

House of Anubis. One word...amazing! I love a good mystery and each new episode I can't wait because the story has unexpected twists. It is a good show to watch alone, so basically an independent, thrilling, romance, comedy. I end up in my chair on the edge laughing with a stunned face (for romance), and shaking all at the same time. If you miss an episode, you can always watch it again on the internet because you want to know what happens. Great acting, great stories, great laughs, great watching, but most of all, it is definitely a great, great, great unraveling mystery. Watch Nickelodeon's show House of Anubis.

When I first heard that for the first time on American TV that this new show called "House of Anubis" was coming out on Nickelodeon, they didn't give much info and my reaction was "sooo...." but when I started watching it I became fascinated the drama, the romance, the treasure hunting, the betrayal, the hilarious comedy the great actors (both British and American), and the ancient Egyptian information!!!I can declare House of Anubis is irresistible to anyone that watches it and is appropriate for all ages. Not too immature but not too mature. I love the love triangle between Nina, Fabian, and Joy, how Joy feels left out, how Nina can't stand her and how Fabian still has feelings for Nina but Joy is constantly getting in the way! And, I personally think Amber still has feelings for Alfie, and the relationship between Patricia and Eddie is kind of a roller-coaster but what relationship isn't? I also think Jerome and Mara should get together, it would be good for Jerome considering what he's going through. I hope theirs a season 3!!! Love it!

So many characters I like, except the main one. Some very poor acting involved in this show, however the stories were pretty good.

I fell in love with House of Anubis before it even aired. I was bored one day and went to the Nickelodeon site. I saw a new show called "House of Anubis" Is coming out. I read about it and fell in love with the show before even watching it. House of Anubis is such an amazing show. It has great acting and I love how it has Drama/Mystery/Romance/Comedy in the hole series. It's such an amazing show. I watch it every night and morning. I cried when it ended, I was so upset. But finding out there will be a season 2 in 2012 is just amazing. I hope this show stays on TV. You can't miss one episode because all of the episodes are amazing. I love this show it's my number one obsession. Sibuna!
Find the most annoying teens you can. Ensure they have posh names like Tamsin and Quentin. Don't bother that they can't act their way out of a paper bag as it doesn't matter. I've seen better acting in Thunderbirds.
I realise it's a children's show but then Grange Hill, Freewheelers, Blue Peter and Byker Grove were much better than this rubbish. As were Adventure Weekly and Ace of Wands before that.
Terrible.
I can't believe it got past the first episode let alone to a third series.

i had a blast making fun of the horrible unsubtle acting, horrible dialog and unrealistic characters to the point of it being absurd. The characters lack of care to the point of extreme ignorance or idiocy in the conclusions of the characters who do care is insane. the main character is a sociopath, the roommate blames random people with reason and no other character besides the antagonists appear like they will affect the plot at all. the bad guys just the bad guy. the plot wont be more than "was it you, NOPE" even though its too obvious who it is. i cared none for a missing character with one line being kidnapped by an idiot who doesn't think his evil plan far enough to clear out her possessions. everyone are bipolar to the point there is no fluency, although that appears to be the acting more so than the writing. acting that cant even crack tears or have a tone that's either none or slightly over the top. fricking hilarious every time i predicted what will happen which happens way too much for a mystery.

This show follows a group of British boarding school students who unravel the mysteries hidden within their house.
I personally love this show! The mysteries and twists and turn, as well as a hint of comedy, which makes the show interesting. But I have to say... The acting is terrible. This is my favorite show, but the acting is what makes this show an 8 instead of a 10.
This show is always interesting and I always am looking forward to watching the next episode. But, House of Anubis is returning to Nick in 2012 with new characters and mysteries so please watch this show and try it out! I hope this review helped! And please review this!

When the show had started I thought 'Well this is quite good!' But as the episodes progressed it just became the same thing over and over! I eventually stopped watching it after the Second series had started, this was because it was generally the same thing as the first series. I did not like the TV series and I wouldn't suggest it to older viewers. Another reason was just the fact that you never really met any new characters. It was just the same Characters in every episode, nothing ever seemed to really change. The plot in my opinion is quite stupid compared to other series like these, parts like, the big boarding school and there's a creepy man/woman who runs the house, I've seen it too many time before, and it just bores me to see this in a TV show.

I first started watching House Of Anubis because my friends were talking about it a lot so I decided to watch it. It's a very addictive series to watch. I watched two to three episodes a day. I noticed I liked it so much it became my favorite TV show of all time. The actors have good chemistry between each other unlike some other TV shows. The plot is alright for most but some will find it quite boring. I found the plot to be meh.
Overall, House of Anubis is a great TV show that contains plenty of Action and Suspense. It is not for all people, but most will really enjoy it.

House of Anubis is my favorite TV show (yet). It is awesome for kids and teens. It has twists and turns in every episode but I am not going to tell it to you;you have to watch it yourself! It is about a group of students in a boarding school trying to solve a big mystery. All the actors/actresses did a really great job and if this was made into a movie, it would win most of the Oscars! The cast and crew did a great job with the timing because they show new episodes EVERY week! This actually makes me not watch movies, now I only watch this! Alfie and Jerome are the funniest characters ever! You will not regret watching this great TV series only on Nick.

This show is still in syndication and that's a travesty because there is no acting worse than what I've seen watching this awful show. I mean, seriously, could the dialogue get any cheesier? The concept is lame, the chemistry between actors is meh, at best. But why would anyone give this show a 10? It's awful, I mean, I have seen nothing worse than this pretentious piece of crap, the names just reinforce the "British snob" stereotype, I mean "Jerome", really? One's an over-the-top-goth, one's an over-the-top bimbo, another's a Spanish actress trying, and failing in doing so, to convince a preteen audience already lacking in real TV experience that she is what Americans sound like. This show is horrendous.

my 5 and 8 year old loved it. How many episodes are there? IMDb seems confused about that. I have never seen better hair on any show in history and the fashion is easy and cheap to duplicated. The story is easy to follow and it made the kids laugh a lot. Nick should do more shows like this. It taps the appeal of Harry Potter---all things British---without scaring them. A nice fun show. The mystery it's based on is a good one, hard to figure out and intriguing.
Actually Nick should do a live weekly variety show staring Jeannette McConnell. Imagine, all the Nick stars and hot tween acts performing in a one hour live format hosted by Jeannette and produced by Schneider.

Where has House of Anubis been all my life? This show is very addictive, since they leave every episode with a cliff hanger. There's a couple of flaws I'd like to point out. I'm an American, but when I was in Europe several times I didn't announce that I was American to every person I came across like Nina did. That's just stupid. When I travel abroad I always let people guess where I come from. Specially when I was in a couple of countries where Americans were looked down upon. And having someone who's born in Spain portraying an American isn't authentic. Another thing, it's too much like Harry Potter. With Victor being very similar to Snape, Jerome and Alffie like Fred and George Weasly, Nina, Fabian and Amber similar to Harry, Ron and Hermione. Oh and the school uniform ties are identical to Gryffindoor's school ties. And not to mention Rufus and Victor desperate to be immortal just like You- Know-Who. Really? At least the mysteries are almost diffrent from Harry Potter. Honestly, there's too much mention of Harry Potter. But other than that it's excellent!

How infantile! You can't tell me that teens behave this way in real life, and this show really demeans a teen's intelligence. I only watched it, and FF thru most of it, to figure out how the mystery was solved. Each character had its own merit, I suppose, but the two infantile boys who kept on pranking everyone, really got on my nerves.
Every corner turned, left the viewer with silly clues that anyone could figure out, from the outside, looking in.
I kept on watching, too, because the main character, Nina is a doppelgänger for my granddaughter, Molly.
The fact that you, IMDB, expect a long review, for a series that's not worth the review I'm writing, is ridiculous!
Honestly, let's give teens something to sink their teeth into!
