Production manager and narrator André Vigneau was also a painter, a musician, an advertiser, a movie maker and a writer. This talented jack of all trades was sent to Cairo and was blocked there by the War. He worked there from 1940 to 1948 as a consultant to the Egyptian government, helping them to structure the Egyptian movie industry. During this period, he took part in the making of several shorts.
