These lifetime films made recently always have their main characters as growing up in single parents households, orphaned and sometimes fostered. Never living in normal homes with both parents happily married. It makes the character unrelatable and also excuses their mistakes. The main character Jade is 18 and has a small group of friends but one of them is murdered one night. At the same time, creepy Rick is hovering around at her friends house and makes a bunch of silly chat up lines. Jade isn&#39;t interested in him but later she ends up as his partner in crime, but her reasons are innocent and to help her mother&#39;s financial mess. He&#39;s just a curious person with no actual home and says nothing about his family or what he does besides making Jade commit robberies. The mother ends up beaten and in hospital for snooping, and there she discovers where her daughter has been hiding but never thinks to call the police. When she does call the police, she&#39;s far out in the woods and there&#39;s no signal. Some of this film was likeable and others were too silly. Also the nasty villains came across as cartoonish.

Nice, different plot with a twist that surprised me. Overall, it was entertaining. My complaint was there were too many small stupid little things that dragged it down. My rating began as a 6. As the plot progressed towards the end, I was thinking 5. Then 4 or 3. Fortunately the twist occurred and so I raised it back to a more than generous 6. Great review, huh. Maybe I have writers block too.

They are really stretching the realms of imagination on this one. Jade wants nothing to do with Rick yet she willingly lies and sneaks out to see him numerous times. Nothing whatsoever to explain what the attraction is and how it came about. Then she willingly and inexplicably starts stealing and then claims she wants to run away with Rick. Oh, and the actress who plays Jade is so stiff and rigid in her expressions and delivery. C&#39;mon LMN you have had years to improve the quality of your films, yet they seem to get worse. The writers on this one are hacks and whoever did the casting needs to go back to casting school.

First of all the title is a total joke. Her mom never made her do anything. It was her and her alone and the stupid decisions she made. I agree with one contributor that the plot just over-stretched the imagination. From the word go I despised Jade. She has just turned 18 and she thinks she&#39;s all grown up and can make decisions for herself. So this brat called Jade is an ungrateful brat who starts to despise her mother especially when she finds out mom, Frida has writer&#39;s block and also that they are about to lose their house. Meantime she meets this total loser with cheesy pick-up lines and even though she tells him he is not her type, after a couple of casual interractions she gives in and agrees to go to dinner with him. He takes her to an expensive restaurant and they run without paying the bill. Then she confides in him that her mom is blah blah and they might lose the house. And he says he might be able to help her with that. So she gets drawn into this high-end burglary thing and commits a number of crimes with her punk boyfriend or crush or whatever. Then when she discovers how terrible it is and also she has made her mom some money she tells him she wants out. But he says it&#39;s not easy as that and promises her after the next job they can run off together. In the meantime Frida is totally oblivious to what her daughter is up to until it becomes so obivious that she starts investigating her which by that time it&#39;s too late. I won&#39;t bother with the rest but what was even more eyebrow raising was after it all ended and the criminal gang were taken away in handcuffs, we do not see Jade getting punished, not even community service for her being an accomplice in multiple crimes! And the way she rebelled against her mom, Frida should have b!tchslapped her at the end instead of lovingly hugging her! It&#39;s a pity, I would have loved to see Jade in orange jumpsuit being visited by her mom in prison.

Very weird plot. Her mom didn&#39;t make her do anything, she did everything herself. She was stupid enough to believe everything Rick said, I don&#39;t understand why she believes him. The acting was.. something I guess. When she stole stuff, nobody suspected her? She wasn&#39;t even sad for her friend either.. She only thought about Rick that, Rick there.. Even the whole tracking thing that went on was stupid. Like what phone would say outloud that? This film is weak.. Very much at that!! She went in for the bait and ate it. (But she didn&#39;t ate in a good way!!) The only person I liked was, Jade&#39;s friend.
