When Karen Fukuhara's character is first introduced in the Prime Video superhero satire "The Boys," she's not even given a name. She's just "The Girl" -- a mute Japanese woman with some seriously strong superpowers. She's a silent assassin, capable of taking incredible levels of damage and healing from them, plus she has superhuman strength and short bursts of super speed, making her extremely formidable.
It's only as the series progresses that we learn her name is Kimiko, and she starts communicating with Frenchie (Tomer Capone) via the sign language she created with her late brother. For most of the series, however, we don't know why Kimiko can't speak. Is it the result of some physical ailment or accident, or is it something psychological? Though we eventually learn the tragic reason behind Kimiko's silence toward the end of "The Boys" season 4, it turns out that Fukuhara was thinking ahead...

Each season of "The Boys" introduces yet another loathsome supe to the rogues gallery. In season 4, that was Firecracker/Misty Tucker Gray (Valorie Curry). True to her name, she can generate sparks with a simple finger snap. Firecracker's main asset is not her superpowers, it's her public following. A conspiracy theorist streamer, Firecracker succeeds Stormfront (Aya Cash) as the Seven's ear to the far-right.
At this point, "The Boys" doesn't satirize the American right-wing so much as just point and laugh at them. Firecracker stands in for Republican representative Marjorie Taylor-Greene, a woman with insane beliefs who rides the coattails of Donald Trump stand-in Homelander (Antony Starr).
Surprisingly for a show that often doles out nasty deaths, Firecracker made it through "The Boys" season 4 still breathing. Some of the final lines of the season are hers; as our leads are rounded up by Homelander's new martial law army, Firecracker...

Most people are able to separate the art from the artist when watching a move or TV show. But over the years, it's become more and more evident that a minority of folks out there struggle to differentiate fact from fiction. The most recent actor to be treated wrongly at a Comic-Con is The Boys star Valorie Curry (Firecracker), who has called for "boundaries" after certain fans made her feel "uncomfortable."
Valorie Curry's Firecracker was a key character in The Boys season 4. Firecracker, a far right-wing Supe and devoted Starlight hater, seeks to win the favor of the oppressive, tyrannical Homelander (Anthony Starr), promising him sexual favors, among other things.
Following her explosive debut in The Boys season 4, Firecracker has become a fan-favorite, and actress Valorie Curry has been making appearances at numerous conventions. For the most part, she's enjoyed being surrounded by fans; “by and large everyone was fantastic,...

The Boys: Firecracker Actress Valorie Curry Calls Out Fan Who Crossed A Boundary At Recent Comic-Con
The recent fourth season of The Boys saw Homelander recruit two new members of The Seven, one of whom turned out to be alt-right TV host Firecracker: an openly racist, homophobic and all-round nasty customer with an axe to grind against Annie January, aka Starlight (Erin Moriarty).
Over the course of the season, Firecracker finds a way to endear herself to Homelander by taking a course of drugs which allow her to lactate. If you know anything about the seriously messed-up leader of The Seven, you'll no doubt understand why this would be of great interest to him!
Firecracker actress Valorie Curry recently attended Comic-Con Northern Ireland, and while she makes a point of noting that she had a mostly very pleasant experience, she has shared an Instagram video addressing one particularly "uncomfortable" encounter with a fan who crossed a boundary while waiting in line to meet her.

Fans will have to wait until 2026 to get to the final season of The Boys, and Valorie Curry is expected to return one more time as her alt-right hatemonger Firecracker.
Though the character can get pretty freaky onscreen, Curry has come out online to talk about a very pushy fan that she met at Comic-Con Ireland; and she’s urging anyone who has any weird ideas not to come at her like that again.

The Boys‘ fourth season debuted on June 13, 2024, and concluded on July 18, 2024, earning a Certified Fresh rating and high viewership numbers, but because of its political satire, it has also been subjected to review-bombing from hateful and toxic fans. The production did not care about this and, in fact, publicly mocked and criticized these fans, with Eric Kripke telling these fans to simply stop watching the show.
The season was an especially successful outing, and among the things that helped were the new characters introduced in this season, some of which will also return for Season 5. One of them is Firecracker, played by actress Valorie Curry, who was one of the most interesting additions to the series.
We have reported on both the character and the actress’ comments on more than one occasion, but the actress has once more entered the spotlight after a fairly troublesome incident that happened to her in Belfast,...

The hit Prime Video series "The Boys" has no shortage of weird moments, but one in particular stood out for Antony Starr, who plays the megalomaniacal supe Homelander. Throughout the series, Homelander has shown a particular predilection for milk — specifically human breastmilk. It honestly makes a lot of sense since Homelander is an overgrown man-toddler who never really matured beyond his most childish tendencies, but that doesn't stop it from being kind of weird and occasionally a little shocking.
Starr is actually partially to blame for Homelander's ongoing milk fetish, as he encouraged showrunner Eric Kripke to take the gag further after being tickled by an initial breastmilk scene in season 1. It seems like Kripke got the last laugh, however, when he managed to surprise Starr with a scene that wasn't just one-upping the breastmilk and cow milking scenes in earlier seasons -- by giving him something of a lactation...

A lot happened during the season 4 finale of The Boys. Among them was Ashley Barrett taking a shot of Compound V after hearing that she was on the list of people Homelander wanted dead. The problem with taking any V is that the results are random. You could become as strong as Homelander, as fast as A-Train, or end up with hammer hands like Groundhawk. Unfortunately for Ashley, taking the shot was the only way to save her life.
After Ashley takes the shot, her head grows and her wig falls off. It’s like her brain was growing out of her skull. It’s easy to think that she’ll develop telepathy or telekinesis. Telepathy would keep her a step ahead of Homelander at all times. However, another way to stay alive is to become invulnerable. Jack from Jupiter is the only character in The Boys comic book that can do that.
