1The Marianao Kid made its international premiere at the 1992 Cannes Film Festival with two screenings during the Marche' Festival du la Film. It went on to win "Best Picture" at the Gulf Coast Film Featival and "Certificate of Merit-Finalist" First Feature at World Fest Houston 1997. Many of the scenes are cross-cut between Buenos Aires and Houston locations, (see if you can find them).
