In the flashback scene at the beginning, Franklin cuts down the swing. As he's carrying it away, he turns to go back to the tree to cut it down. You can see the swing hanging from the tree again as he approaches.

Brilliant sci-fi drama

I really enjoyed this touching sci-fi mystery drama. It starts off slow but gives plenty to character development and goes deep into some very sensitive topics. As the episodes progress, the main story arc accelerates but with a gentle foot on the pedal. The acting is superb and casting on point. JK Simmons is excellent throughout. It has a great season finale and plenty to work with for more seasons. I have no idea why the rating is so low, deserves more!
