Anvitha is a MasterChef in UK, living with her ailing mother who wants her daughter to get married and settled in life, to ensure she doesn't lead a lonely life. Anvitha eventually visits India, in search for a sperm donor, as she believes a child is what she needs to fulfil her mother's wish. She approaches Siddu Polishetty, a stand up comedian to be her sperm donor. Only glitch is that Siddu has fallen in love with her and Anvitha has no intention of having Siddu or any man ss her life partner. With this twist, what happens to these two unlikely pair, is what this rom-com is all about.
It's a threadbare storyline which entirely relies on Naveen Polishetty's comic timing. The film starts off on a decent note, introducing Anushka Shetty's character and successfully establishes her storyline. From her personal loss to her need for opting for a child out of wedlock through artificial insemination. It is after the introduction of Naveen's character, the film becomes a lively watch as the scenes range from funny to outright hilarious ensuring the first half ends on a high note.
The second half, basically the third act which gets painfully stretched is what stops the film from reaching it's true potential. The second half too relies heavily on Naveen's comic timing and those scenes do actually work well. It is once the melodrama kicks in to drive the story to it's penultimate moments, the screenplay drags on and the weak songs do take a toll. A couple of emotional dialogues are actually good here especially the conversation between Naveen and Murali Sharma. More than the writing, it is the actors who carry the film till the end and with a crisper third act, this would've been a far better film.

My Summary:
One of the feel-good movies ever made.
It felt like watching a feminist film since the males were being treated as objects by the protagonist.
But the overall film was really enjoyable mainly because of the male protagonist, I haven't seen any of this guy's films but in this one, with his characterization he made us laugh quite a lot which was supported by the situations as well and it also had a good mix of romance, emotions, comedy as well.
ChatGPT Summary: This movie stands out as one of the quintessential feel-good films ever made. It has the remarkable ability to leave viewers with a sense of warmth and positivity, making it an uplifting cinematic experience.
One notable aspect of the film is its portrayal of a feminist perspective. The protagonist's treatment of males as objects, reversing traditional gender roles, lends the film a distinct feminist undertone. This choice in character dynamics challenges conventional norms and expectations, offering a refreshing perspective that may resonate with audiences seeking a departure from traditional gender dynamics in cinema.
Despite its feminist undertones, the film's overall enjoyability is primarily attributed to the male protagonist. While you may not have seen any of this actor's previous work, his portrayal in this film is a standout. His character's charisma and humor add a delightful dimension to the story, eliciting laughter from the audience. The effectiveness of his characterization is further amplified by the humorous situations he finds himself in throughout the film.
The film's appeal doesn't stop at humor alone. It successfully combines elements of romance, emotion, and comedy, creating a well-rounded and engaging narrative. This multifaceted approach adds depth to the storytelling and allows viewers to connect with the characters on various emotional levels.
In conclusion, this film is undeniably one of the feel-good movies of all time. Its feminist perspective, where males are treated as objects by the protagonist, offers a unique and thought-provoking twist on traditional gender dynamics. However, the true charm of the film lies in the male protagonist's charismatic performance, which is both humorous and endearing. The movie's ability to blend romance, emotions, and comedy seamlessly contributes to its overall enjoyability, making it a delightful and well-rounded cinematic experience.

A simple heartfelt movie where both Anushka & Naveen effortlessly carry the movie with their stellar performances...
Its great comeback for Anushka and she scores in every available frame that too 2nd half elevates her calibre...
On the otherhand Naveen induces simplistic ideas with his timed swag & his energy level easily keep us entertained despite repeated idea of stand up comedy...
Director mahesh makes u laugh many times and there by tried to play safe with carefully constructed organic love story...
Good is not good enough
Coffee mug
IUI but DOCTOR why
Are those few scenes where he proved his ability of writing ...
Overall a neat package of family entertainment.

Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty felt like Salaam Namaste & Vicky Donor in one movie. It's a modern but clichéd love story of two completely different people.
Miss Shetty aka Devsena as in Bahubali is a renowned Master Chef in London who has no faith in any sort of relationship post her parents separation. After the demise of her mother the only person she cared about she decides to mother a child (without getting married) and the search for sperm donor starts. This is when Mr. Polishetty, a stand up comedian and part time corporate guy gets in the picture as he has all the qualities that she wants in the donor. But there's the catch, Mr. Polishetty is looking for a serious relationship. This is where it gets complicated and as a result we have a decent movie that has drama, comedy and a small tea spoon of emotional touch.
One time watch though 2 hr. 30 mins seems quite long duration for such a genre.

Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty- Refreshing and unique concept taken in a bold and practical way.
Director Mahesh Babu pens a heartwarming story with full of colors and butterflies. Story and screenplay is smooth as a cream.
Anushka plays her character with maturity and with soothing calmness.
Naveen Polishetty steals your heart with his comic timing and emotions. He is gifted with natural talent, and this movie will elevate him to many more successes.
Murali Sharma uplifts at the end with a thought provoking message.
Easily the best Telugu movie in 2023 that will show even a contactless love can take you far and deep that will touch your heart and gives you a feel good factor.
Bravo!

The story is great but unrealistic at times - an educated engineer from a bud city is still shown as someone who does nor know the actual procedure
Sticking to the comedy as primary genre would have made the movie a non stop comical goof - here it did become a predictable dramedy as it moved forward .
But overall , a great watch for a n attempt of novel concept being normalized !
Look forward to more such movies .
Anushka and Naveen have done Justice to Thier Characters! The songs were not great . BGM was great .
Bringing in veterans like Nasser , Jayasudha & Murali Sharma was fantastic ..

This storyline is completely different.
Everything which is showed in movie is true in this era. People who feel difficult to handle things definitely will get a chance to rethink themselves. This kind of movies should be encouraged. Great acting of Naveen polishetty garu. Anushka is gorgeous as usual. Looking preety and cutie pie. Congratulations to the entire team.
Songs are also different, costumes are nice..
Instead of watching movie for fun in this we can learn something, Director and story writer did a great work in creating the story line. A good and Marvellous movie after long time.

The fundamental premise of the storyline and the characterizations of the principal figures exhibit promise, yet they suffer from inadequate development. Consequently, the narrative lacks a captivating progression. The screenplay, although protracted, has moments of brilliance interspersed with moments of mediocrity, but the majority of scenes fall flat. Few comedic sequences elicit laughter few are downright dull. The emotional aspect of the film also fails to convincingly connect with the audience.
The director's efforts seem minimal, as if the cinematographer and actors adhered strictly to the script. Naveen Polishetty delivers a commendable performance, occasionally veering into overacting but generally displaying skill.
Anuska, on the other hand, is a competent actress with a strong on-screen presence. While she excels in roles like Arundathi and Baghamathi, she appears less capable when tackling characters of a different nature. It's noticeable that extensive visual effects have been employed to enhance her appearance.
The musical score leaves much to be desired, while the cinematography is passable.
In sum, it is a subpar film that might find a place among the offerings on OTT platforms.

Hats off to the actors for doing things right. The storyline although seeming predictable from the start, gives you a twist every now and then. I am a fan of Polishetty now.
The emotions come out from an honest place for both the leads.
The standup journey has been also shown in the most proper way as most people won't be aware of it. The journey from doing not even 1 show a week to doing auditoriums, the dilemma of not earning any money but still giving 101% to it is what makes a comedian.
Very beautifully ended as well with the final special being about the whole movie itself. That's just great writing.

PROS:
1. Mother's genuine wish to get her daughter settled and have a family of her own
CONS: Most of the conversations are unrealistic and out of this world. Anvitha's mother last wish to get her a successful daughter settled a happy married life, Avintha's quest to have a baby through IUI is realistic. From thereon, everything is plain brainless sequence. Every conversations shown in the movie is a poor conception of what the actual real world functions. Some examples:
1. Anvitha talking to the doctor with her google knowledge and doctor intimidated by her understanding - NEVER happens in real life.
2. Over 50 Sperm donors in liine?? Give me a BREAAK.
3. The content and delivery of the so-called 'standup comedy' by Naveen Polishetty are way too poor. Nobody will laugh in real life.
4. Very unrealistic depiction of working environment of a software company - whether big or small, it ain't matter. The depiction is 0/10 for a software company office.
5. Completely nonsense sequence of events on how Anvitha falling for the sperm doner.
6. A rookie standup comedian organizing 35 shows in UK... Ohhh MY GOSH
I give 5/10.

Anvitha is a fastidious chef. When she cooks, every ingredient is chosen with utmost care. So when she decides to have a baby without indulging in physical intimacy, she leaves no stone unturned in selecting the perfect guy's sperm. Sidhu, an engineer, seems like the ideal candidate for the position. However, he develops feelings for her and refuses to be "used and thrown". The key players in #MissShettyMrPolishetty make the film watchable. Anushka Shetty looks ravishing and puts in a restrained performance. But it is Naveen Polishetty who steals the show. He is lovable and credible. Running time needs to be reduced by 20 minutes. Rating 3/5.
The movie skillfully delves into a simple yet intricate concept under the expert direction of Mahesh Babu P.
Anushka Shetty shines as Anvitha Ravali Shetty, embodying a strong and realistic character who grapples with commitment in marriage. She not only exudes on-screen charisma but also delivers a nuanced performance, making a remarkable comeback.
Naveen Polishetty, perfectly suited for his role, showcases his comedic brilliance and charm, captivating the audience from his very first appearance. He handles emotional moments with finesse. While Murali Sharma's role is limited, he delivers a commendable performance, especially in the pre-climax. The supporting cast fulfills their roles effectively.
Furthermore, the film boasts top-notch production quality, with Gopi Sundar's background score skillfully setting the mood.
The storyline is straightforward and competently executed, but the second half could have used a quicker tempo.
The initial half seems a bit slow, with a few superfluous scenes that disrupt the narrative's flow. Enhancing emotional depth could have made the audience connect more with the characters.
Roles portrayed by Murali Sharma, Sonia Deepti, and Abhinav Gomatam could have been more prominent.
Mahesh Babu P, serving as both writer and director, offers his finest work yet, though the screenplay could have been more refined.
Radhan's soundtrack features three captivating songs, and Gopi Sundar's score elevates the film's overall impact. Nirav Shah's cinematography is flawless, delivering rich and captivating visuals.
Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao's editing could have been sharper, but the film benefits from top-tier production values, courtesy of the production house.
Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty offers a heartwarming comedy-drama with exceptional acting from Anushka Shetty and Naveen Polishetty, a solid score, and touching moments. Yet, it struggles with slow pacing in both halves. Still, it's a worthwhile weekend watch.

"To be a mom, why do I need to get married?" says Miss Shetty categorically!
...and so Anvitha Shetty (Anushka Shetty) decides to have a baby through IUI. Embarking on a hunt for the right donor, her search leads her to a stand-up-comedian, Siddhu Polishetty (Naveen Polishetty), her 'perfect guy'! The only glitch is that Siddhu has fallen in love with her, but Anvitha has no intention of having any man in her life as her life partner! Siddhu however refuses to be 'used and thrown'!
1) Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty (2023) is a rom-com with an unconventional premise.
2) Beautiful and radiant as ever, Anushka Shetty is ravishing and puts in a restrained act.
3) As the love-struck stand-up comedian stuck in an unusual life situation, Naveen steals the show. With his impeccable comic timing and his ability to lighten up any moment in a blink of an eye, he is charming and refreshing.
4) I was a bit apprehensive about the age gap between the two leads (~Anushka Garu being 8 years older to Naveen). But the pairing is so good and heart-warming that it feels magical.
5) Debutant Writer & Director P. Mahesh Babu has handled the subject splendidly. He takes an adult concept and turns it into a family entertainer. Beautifully crafted, unforgivingly hilarious and very relatable. A thoroughly engaging rom-com with well-written dialogues. No deviations and no unnecessary scenes. Huge applause to him. Bollywood would have made a vulgar film out of the concept.
6) Ace cinematographer Nirav Shah leaves his mark. Every frame is picturesque. Creating the perfect mood & atmosphere, the interval block especially, is truly impressive!
7) The film explores themes of feminism, age gap, parenthood and female vulnerabilities. Two scenes standout: Jayasudha Garu's (Anvitha's mother) final words; and Anvitha's realization at the end.
8) The film's denouement is the beginning of a true commitment between two hope-filled individuals who truly believe in each other.
9) Bottom line: Don't miss this lovely, breezy rom-com. My IMDb rating: 8.5/10.

A clean, pure comedy with beautiful love chemistry story in these recent times i have watched. I hope everyone will connect to those characters. Definitely a relaxing entertaining movie, one can watch with full family.
The feel of love, or the chemistry between Mr. Polishetty and Mrs Shetty is wonderful.
The concept of trust and hope in love is beautifully portrayed by the director Mr. Mahesh.
And the music, especially for lady luck song and the bgm at the interval are very beautiful and Mr. Music director has done a very fantastic job. The impact of bgm at interval created a smooth good vibe.
Overall the movie is blockbuster. For Anushka and Naveen anna performance this movie can be watched multiple times.🙂

From the moment the film began, it was clear that the chemistry between the two leads, Miss Shetty and Mr. Polishetty, was going to be a highlight. Their on-screen presence was magnetic, and their comedic timing was impeccable. I found myself rooting for them and laughing at their quirky encounters throughout the film.
One of the aspects that truly sets "Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty" apart is its clever use of cultural differences. The movie skillfully weaves together the Indian and Polish cultures, creating numerous opportunities for humor. Whether it's the language barrier or the clash of traditions, the film navigates these situations with grace, ensuring that the humor never feels forced or offensive.
BUT WHY?
The movie has faced significant criticism for depicting Sita as older than Rama. This is a major deviation from the original Ramayana, which clearly states that Sita is younger than Rama. For this reason alone, my rating for the movie is only one star.

It's been very long time I stoped watching movies in theater ,
being a fan of stand up comedy shows, especially(Rajashekar mandanna shows) decided to watch this movie when trailer release, because standup comedy need solid backstage efforts to make audience laugh, I am almost laughing two hours while watching movie, Naveen's performance is dam natural in movie,, and sometimes I felt its his actual profession despite of generating comedy director Maheh babu emotionally locked audience with heart felt dialogs, Naveen has all potential qualities to top the list in Tollywood, blindly book your tickets for entire family,
All the very best Naveen for future movies, try not to close your naturality.

Saw this movie on Netflix and realized that The central idea of the movie is a copy of a Chinese movie :- watch the story recap or review of the Chinese movie -> Love Contractually . The writers are makers are copy cats 😁. I was trying to paste the story recap link here but IMDB did not allow to paste the url links . The Telugu version added some extra masala and changed the relationships and connections between characters - example in the Chinese version the mother of the actress commits suicide due to fights in their marriage and that makes the actress stone hearted to not to get into relationships but still needed a child .

Wonderfully handled the entire screenplay. And the story is told in a very acceptable way. Leads portrayed the characters in such a way that the audience believes them to be people next door. Movie is also a little bit enlightening the society on marriage and career. The male lead Naveen Polishetty makes the audience believe in emotional graph portrayed by the character. Anushka Shetty has made her role which is already a self built successful person along with her natural elegance a delight to watch. A worth watch commercial movie. Best Romcom ever watched these days. A watch with family movie altogether.

The film portryed how one can have a family member of your own blood relation keeping aside the formalities of marriage. Ultimately every one depends on their blood relation to avoid loneliness. A women needs her companion not only during her pregnancy but also through out the upbringing of the child.
In the other way if a child was brought up with loving parents, he/she is the luckiest person on the earth. Probably the number of such lucky persons may decrease in future.
It's unfortunate that the present marriage system has left such a negative impression in the present youngsters mind.
The film is completely homely with full of comedy even though it has taken up a novel theme.

It's a tale between two different personas. The female lead Anvitha, played by Anushka Shetty is a master chef by profession and a truly independent lady who don't wants to get married because of her traumatized childhood due to her parents divorce. But after her Mother's circumstantial death she started to feel very lonely. As the story goes on she met to our male lead Sidhu played by Naveen Polishetty. Sidhu is a IT employee by profession but his hidden profession is that he is a standup comedian.
I want to tell more about the story and the characters but that will spoil the scene if you're watching this movie. The character developement done by both of the actors is truly watchable. You'll enjoy each and every moments created beautifully by the director Mahesh Babu P. Kudos to the team to make such a good movie in a light way whose plot is still considered as a Taboo in our Country.
I specially like to praise Naveen Polishetty for playing a character just like us who feels all type of emotions and how he control those feelings is truly good.
The best part of the movie is the climax sequence, at which I feel truly emotional. The love shown in this movie is one of it's kind.
A must watch for every type of audience.

What a blend of comedy and emotions. Very fresh perspective on relations and love.
Anushka is excellent as usual, polishetty has done an amazing job, his comic timing is perfect. Finally Murali also shines in his father role.
Technically story and characters buildup very nicely. Excellent story telling. The message flows very strongly that Broken souls can trust again. Life has so much to offer.
No profanity or sexual scenes, there are references to getting pregnent by down donating. This is another feather in the call for polishetty....
Over all very neat movie recommend for family watch.
