Laura the Receptionist: Good morning, sunshine girl.
Dr. Katz: You're feeling pretty chipper, seems like.
Laura the Receptionist: Yeah, I feel pretty good today. I just feel, like, a sense of peace has come over me. Just have this distinct feeling of...
Dr. Katz: Well-being?
Laura the Receptionist: No Ben.
Dr. Katz: I wish I could share your, uh, your enthusiasm.
Laura the Receptionist: You CAN!
Dr. Katz: I have to admit, I miss the guy, I really do.
Laura the Receptionist: Yeah.
Dr. Katz: Do you miss him a little bit?
Laura the Receptionist: Not really.
Dr. Katz: You DO like him, though?
Laura the Receptionist: Um... okay.
Dr. Katz: I don't think you realize how much he- how much you mean to him.
Laura the Receptionist: Look, just let me enjoy these next couple of days without him, okay?
[phone rings; Laura answers in a cheerful tone of voice]
Laura the Receptionist: Good morning, Dr. Katz's office!
Ben Katz: [on the other line, confused] Uh... can, could I speak to Laura, please?
Laura the Receptionist: [sullenly] Oh, Ben.
Dr. Katz: I'm not here.
[leaves]
Ben Katz: Laura, I didn't recognize ya.
Laura the Receptionist: Mmm.
Ben Katz: That's better.
[Laura sighs]
Ben Katz: There ya are.
[Laura sighs]
Ben Katz: Found ya.
Laura the Receptionist: Why are you calling?
Ben Katz: I just wanted to, uh, give a... what happened to the old Laura that answered the phone?
Laura the Receptionist: Ben, how is it possible that you're MORE annoying when you're away?
