Jagiah is a school teacher with principles . His wife Lakshmi often protects their way laid son Rahman ( Raghu inTelugu ) as he is in and out of trouble always . Rahman learns slowly in his childhood about bad elements in and around him and is fascinated by them . His cousin Amani and himself are engaged since childhood . They all try to redeem him but its useless .Rahman joins the local gang of extortion and smuggling and becomes a full time rowdy . Often called to extort or threaten some one , he earns his money by illegal activities much to Jaggiah's worry . He is sent to jail for a few years when he slowly realises his mistake .His parents are sad and embarrased with this . When his mother Lakshmi dies with worry , he realises his folly and tries to redeem . His wife Amani and new born son try to help change his attitude. His bad luck chases him everywhere .he is given many jobs but only for his street fighting skills . His old bosses dont let go and he is again drawn in their murky world .In the end , he dies as he tries to fight them off and realises his mistake and repents . Those who live by the gun die by the gun . A fine message . Amani is left alone with his son . Kaikala as Amani's father adds the comical touch . Jaggiah and Lakshmi are good as the perfect idealist parents . Unnecessary sizzling songs between Rahman and Amani are jarring . Rahman could not make it big in Telugu and went over to Tamil later . JAgaiah is perfect as the repentant father and an ideal teacher . Over all , a fine movie relevant even today showing evils of wrong doing .
