Even if the plot isn't as rigid, it makes sense, making the anime entertaining to watch. It stays true to the basic notion and incorporates a variety of side genres that give it a distinct yet very free-form feel.
While some may find the characters "cliché," I think they're all incredibly well-rounded. The MC maintains that his natural instincts-rather than his desires-are the only reason he finds himself in a scenario akin to a harem. As a result, fanservice-filled moments are created, which is to be expected, but they are far more tolerable because the main character never gives away his identity and always acts like a gentleman rather than a creep, even though you can see him periodically give in to his wants. He limits his abilities so it doesn't look like he's bragging, but he's not a moron-he still uses reason to know when to step it up. His relationships with other characters are incredibly nicely done.
There isn't much to say about the art; it is fantastic. I really like the way they depict the characters, particularly their eyes.

The storyline is very good with creative concept. However, the characters lack definition, and there are noticeable plot holes. The main character's sudden knowledge in certain scenarios feels like a flaw (As he previously doesn't recognise them from the past i.e 1000 years ago) . Despite these shortcomings, the overall story is captivating. The animations, while normal, fail to evoke a strong emotional connection. There are missed opportunities for dramatic scenes(eg: They could have made some emotional depth to the scene where vampire queen puts her armor to protect the protagonist), making the show feel rushed and lacking depth. The production appears constrained by a limited budget, resulting in subpar and cartoonish animations. A darker, slower approach could have enhanced the overall experience. Despite its flaws, I still recommend watching it, especially for the compelling story. In conclusion, Demon Sword is a good anime with a strong narrative but suffers from poor direction and animation quality, leaving room for improvement.
