A sort of version of Madame Bovary. Simple, using main character an ordinary young woman looking for better future and true love , both dreams inspired by painting representing Bathsheba and king David.
Her crowd, her stealings, her naivety about obscure propositions to become rich. Ignored by her mother, losting the presumed Prince Charming, part of talks with friends and not very attracted by the young man interested by her, she is just lost in a sort of cage.
Realistic, bitter and precise crafted, it is one of stories about wasted years and lives, about imaturity and lost of opportunities. Good point - the portrait of Shana sustained by Eva Houault.
