An excellent selection of starts recreating singers, dances, comedians and magic acts of about 1915. One of the acts escapologist 'Alan Alan' had his act cut from thirteen minutes to six minutes. This was because his act was part comedy part tension. In order to replicate the performance style of Houdini the comedy part of his act was cut. He was still tied up in changes by 2 burley men but the funny parts of the act were replaced by two girls explaining to each other what Houdini was doing. He was then suspended upside down from a burning rope. He had to escape from the chains and untie his feet before the rope burnt through. Excellent comedy routines with pies in the face and expert timing.
