We want to say a big thank you to the producers and writers for making The Wait. It was a very sensitive time we had traveling with each character through their hardships
DELICIOUS
-It's always a nice breeze when you have an atypical script in Nollywood. It was great to include different stories to provide a variety
-We have to commend the makeup and costume designers who grasped the mood of each character and prepared them accordingly
-The film had numerous encouraging lines that emphasized the need to wait on God to become more mature
-Can we clap for the supportive husbands in this movie??? WOW
-Our favorite actors were in the house: Deyemi Okanlawon, Ini Dima-Okojie, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Mike Afolarin, and Chimezie Imo. We were pampered!!
BLAND
What prevented The Wait from having a 5-star rating was the technicality. It was regrettably a big sabotage:
-Sound engineering was weakly executed, consequently impairing the flow of the movie.
-The camera was filming from the wrong angles and wasn't enriching the narrative
-The editor rapidly cut lots of scenes & music and even went as far as to include sound effects that were irrelevant to certain scenes. Why did we hear a sexual moaning sound at the start of the party scene at the end?
-The concluding part appeared rushed, it wasn't clear how Tosan and her husband ended up the way they did. Who exactly was the young pregnant woman meeting Nkechi in different places? Some of these elements could have been better elaborated for a complete understanding.
