Balakrishna, as expected, dances, throws punches, mouths dialogues, acts, but still he can't save the audience from the mediocrity at disposal. Varalakshmi and Honey were decent, Duniya Vijay was let down by poorly written character, Shruti's forgettable.
Technically, the movie looks basic, in every aspect, cinematography, editing, production values, fights lack any conviction, only Thaman stands out with his riveting BGM. Dialogues pack a punch here and there.
Direction from Gopichand Malineni is the biggest disappointment, with a successful template at hand, his execution was as flat as earth. Thumbs down 👎

I know what I am signing up for whenever I am watching a movie like Veera Simha Reddy. I am there to see the larger than life characterization, ear crunching background music effects and a lot of goosebump moments. About 10-12 years ago when I still had the patience, I used to watch many of such South Indian movies in theatres. Off late, I just wait for such movies to show up on OTT and casually watch them for such moments. With NBK's movies these moments are taken up to a different notch. 2021's release Akhanda surprised me pleasantly and it was very refreshing to see that the movie had a crisp screenplay. This and some of the ridiculous (yet unique) goosebump clips from the theatre which I watched on Twitter made me decide to go and watch this film in the theatres. Also maybe I had too much time that weekend.
Veer Simha Reddy starts off quite energetically like typical NBK movies which involve him playing the dual role. The introduction of the 'mass' and 'dark' NBK character roars on the screen with a superb background score (I hope SS Thamans releases that song soon). However this film lacks the setup for such a great character introduction. There is no suspense or any significant events leading to it. Even the flashback story for this character isn't strong enough to justify the suspense and action. NBK suits very well for his look as Veera Simha Reddy but however it cannot be said the same for him playing the role of his son again. May be it is time for him to explore playing the only senior part and then giving up the junior lead to someone else in such movies so that his main character's impact gets better even if it is for a lesser time. The lack of a decent screenplay for many of the strong characters including Bhanumathi (played brilliantly by Varu Sarathkumar) lets this film down. There are many actors and characters in the movie but they all end up becoming less significant. Duniya Vijay looks and also acts menacing as the baddie but his character doesn't carry enough threat because of how it's written. Shruthi Hassan looks gorgeous as usual and Honey Rose gets to show off her beauty in a song as well.
Veera Simha Reddy had a very good potential to be a better NBK blockbuster but it falls short and how.

Despite major flaws in the 2nd half the movie fares well coz of sr balayya swag and style carrying alone all over the movie...
2nd half could have been trimmed nearly 30nins would have been a larger impact...
The most poor thing is the young balayya character that's not written well or could have omitted for a super success and his style or dialogue especially make-up is a hell ....
Varalakshmi is a only notable where she fares well and the one who scores well be it affection or revenge she literally lived upto the role...
Compared to "AKHANDA" this movie is a better to watch ....
Overall watch if ur diehard fan of balayya.

Absolutely disaster. I dont get it how even this guys have to courage to make a movie? In this movie balakrishna's mother looks younger then him. How even audience go to the theatre watch a movie.
Absolutely pathetic story line. How even people dont get headache. This hero and his dialogues are absolutely funny. His pair with shruti hassan i mean he looks like age of her grandfather.
Music is terrible too. I mean honestly dont this guys feel ashamed when they go out and shooting abroad? I hope people get some class and watch better movies so people can make better movies. Otherwise they will create this nonsense.

The film has every right to be named as a MAN MADE DISASTER. Everything is awful in this movie i.e, story, cast, BGM, dialogues. Balayya's dual role Felt like puking, i mean common man we are in 2023. The Jai Balayya hype is way too much to take. BALA KRISHNA should swallow his pride and give up films else his movies may be a virtual way to hell. The only breather this film offers is Honey Rose stellar beauty steals hearts in an instant. I humbly urge the director to read good books and make good movies not such scrap. Balayya's Dialogues, dance steps are hard to endure. The famous Innova scene is a laugh Riot to be frank rated it 1 star cuz there is nothing less to rate. The director must not forget the fact that the plot must elevate the hero and not the sound effects or useless Dialogues.

We are in the era where Bahubali and RRR movies raising the bar of not only Telugu Cinema but Indian Cinema to utmost. Remember one thing about the audience, as a director, movie maker and as a hero you should think and judge like an audience. That is know as audience pulse.
Why so much blood? What is the necessity to use foul language? Does the dialogue writer come from a filthy family? Why all characters including the kid (the director's son) talks like that? Shame on you guys. You're not only wasting our time and money but also degrading the Value of Telugu Cinema in the name Mass.
First of all Director didn't even know the meaning of the Mass. Director just made this movie as a token of political satire and we as an audience pay for it.
A clear cut depict to showcase how dumb Balayya is. At his age, is it necessary to make film like this? A total disappointment. A total unworthy to even watch on the TV (OTT), I call it as garbage.
Director has to grow up and lean a lot of things and also about story telling. Take classes and do not waste our time. However, I will not watch your movies in theater.

Undoubtable Terrific Mass Action Entertainment.
NBR roaring every frame of the movie.
Dances and Dialogues are good . Translated to entertainment on the big screen.
Amazing in dual roles and does a solid job with his performance. Be it the body language.
The last half an hour before the interval block is the best part of the film. It has comedy, action, and a twist which elevates the film quite well.
The film is a true-blue entertainer full of action.
Is a feast for hardcore fans and Balayya gives them ample moments to cherish with his stunning act.
The director is aware of the star's massive fanbase. Chants of 'Jai Balayya' are the norm when his films arrive at the theatres.

Unlogical film .To watch this movie u have to take any drugs 😂😂😂😂 then only you can watch , must put in garbage film . From 1st scene to last hero have only an expression 😂😂😂 don't waste your time , honey rose, varalakshmi, lal done good but sruthi hassan is very boaring . There is no story only to show off heros mass scene and fights . And mass scene is like watching comedy movie fight scenes as a drunken guy fighting in a street . What a pathetic film , i think the hero didn't see any other films in indian film industry like bollywood, kollywood, tollywood and especially mollywood . In mollywood this movie don't see the theatre.

High intensive and powerful mass movie. One more addition to Balayya's block-baster movies. Father character is so powerful and got goosebumps many times while watching. Son character at the end is also powerful after he takes over fathers position.
Great story with stater sentiment and as a god father to a village Pulicherla. I can say that both the heroines added not much credit to the movie except a bit of action by Honey Rose in mother character at the bigoting of the movie.
Fantastic acting by villain Duniya Vijay in hit first movie as villain. Story show him as powerful person but a week ending at every instance he try to attack. Should have given some options to showcase his strength to prove his powerful character.

This is one of the worst movies I have seen. I'm not talking about story or script. Fighting scenes and dialogue are so unrealistic that even kids can't digest. Goons are coming to him to get bashing and he is standing bashing him with his head while keeping his hands under his pockets. What were director and writer smoking while this movie was being shot! Protagonist is so busy in self praising that seems support cast and lead actors are useless in this movie. He is full of narcissism and his mother fully supports that narcissistic and egoistic brat. It wasn't explained in the movie, but he can appear anywhere from thin air. Maybe he has super power of invisibility and flying, but nowhere explained in the movie.

OMG!! I started to watch this movie with great expectation. But, the Director looks like turned Nervous and made this film in some confusion, Songs are horrible, music is terrifying. Fight master must a apprentices. He know only 3 stunts, dupes will start to travel in the air absolute flat, Balayya will step on the chest of the dupe and climb to kill the fighter. Duniya Vijay is just there to get beaten up again and again, no respect for Vilan. Balayya is known for his dailogues which is missing. Title is Veera Simha Reddy and slogans and song is Jai Balayya. Its like Ravulamma song re - newed.

Nandmuri Balakrishna should be ashamed of himself for making such a trash.
Shruti Hassan belonging to a family with good film background did this movie...I think she's in her worst phase of career and would do anything for the sake of money... I mean romantic movie with an actor about the age of her father.. disgusting...wish she could have implanted some brains while undergoing so much cosmetic surgeries...
Even a village chhapri could've written much better dialogues than those in this movie and what a direction...God knows how they had the confidence to make and release such a movie..
Nevertheless, logic story and concept was buried deep..so deep that it was missing throughout... Makeup worst...just by painting the frontal hair white doesn't make any actress look old you fools.

Its utter rubbish,Direction from Gopichand Malineni is the biggest disappointment
I went for duniya vijay appearance , but disappointed, even not deserved for single start.

The rating is 3 only because the age of the hero. In this movie balakrishna's mother looks younger then him. How even audience go to the theatre watch a movie. South Indian film industry should go away from this concept that a big star in their 40s-60s can play a role of college students. It looks so ridiculous. His heroine shruti hassan looks like age of his grand-daughter. Music is terrible too. Cheaply dubbed songs are anyway bad to hear. I mean honestly don't this guys feel ashamed when they go out and shooting abroad? The fight sequences are very slow and un-realistic (i can't complaint as i see south Indian dubbed movies for this reason only). The punches and kicks of hero are very slow and bad. It clearly indicates his 70 years age. Varalakshmi and Honey were decent, Duniya Vijay was let down by poorly written character, Shruti's forgettable.

Movie is so good of all Balayya movies in last 20 years. I watched it many times even though i am not a fan to anyone.
Elevations are very good.
Story is good.
Back ground music is killing. Fights are good.
No over action and no comedy stunts anywhere.
Movie is an entertainer for families as well.
Negative rating will be definitely other hero fans work. 3 other movies released for sankranthi are flops. These haters rate high for flop movies and low for good movies.
It could possibly break all new records.
Shruthi hassan part is boring for few minutes.
Overall, it is Sankranthi winner.

This film made for balayya heroism and for fans excitement that's all ,
I went for duniya vijay appearance , and it was pretty decent or little disappointed,
I got gem of actress , varalakshmi sarathkumar, man what makes me interesting in this film is just her backstory and appearance ,
What was shocking appearance was andrews (kgf) , is there in this movie , but apparenace was shocking , but not well developed .
And Ravishankar has played is normal role .
And all others are ok
But what makes me think is , in story wise the directors have taken very causally but runs well , and hood directors effort and everything, but not even stays a week in theater. Anyway this is reality .

At this point, I will have to say a Balayya film not directed by Boyapati Sreenu will be unbearable to sit through and Veera Simha Reddy is no different to that. This is yet another double role for Balayya as father and son, even if one accepts Balayya as son to Honey Rose or even tolerate the exaggerated reasons for the revenge story, VSR is still an underwhelming outing which puts too much confidence on it's lead superstar than giving him a worthy screenplay.
With too many action scenes that only look repetitive and the usual Balayya templated dialogues, the characterization of Balayya as well as Varalaxmi Sarathkumar reeks of over confidence. Sure they give in their 100% to pull off the characters but the writing drags them down. Needless to say this one was made only Balayya fans but even they cannot ignore how unentertaining the film gets in the second half.

I'm late to the party with this one so i'll keep it short. I was informed by my Telugu speaking friends that NBK is still seen as a comedy piece of sorts, but has kinda sorta turned things around in the last two films. That's all I knew going into this one, expected a.....Legend (Saravana) kinda film, and while it certainly does fall under that genre, it was very different from what I thought it would be. Rather, the what was expected, the how, pleasantly surprised me.
Long story short - great music, good cinematography, questionable casting with a 90s storyline. Close your eyes and listen to the 'mass scenes' and you could totally imagine an Ajith/Vijay/Rajini still making films like these, and perhaps so would their counterparts in Tollywood. If 'bigger stars' can still make ridiculous, over the top 90s movies, I don't see why NBK should be judged for making Veera Simha Reddy. With 'proper' casting, YOU KNOW the film would have been a boxoffice hit.
I have to say, I enjoyed watching this more than Pathaan and maybe Kisi Ka Bhai as well. Watch it with friends for the collective experience.
If I am going to watch ridiculous movies, I'd rather give props to films that embrace it and make me roll my eyes the least. At least Reddy garu didn't hold down two helicopters with his bare hand, John Abraham can perhaps watch and learn.

Veera Simha Reddy by Gopichand Malineni is a perfect film for the cause of your headache. The film is a total blunder and shouldn't have been made in the first place. The film is about the factions that take place in a village and the bonding between a son and father. The storyline is a mixture of commercial drama and violence and does not provide any plot points. The screenplay is even worse, ruining the plot and making it look like the epitome of boredom. The characterizations were childishly written and don't help the story. The music was one of the main reasons for the headache, the background music was heavily composed and filled 90% of the movie. The soundtrack was also badly composed, leaving no songs to hear more than once. The cinematography was decent, giving a positive change to the film. The editing was average but the sound design was horrible. The only highlight of the film is the performance of Balakrishna but couldn't help save the overdramatic, violent film.
Veera Simha Reddy, a movie released in 2023, is an absolute trainwreck that leaves the audience dumbfounded and questioning their life choices. It is clear that this film fails to deliver even the bare minimum of entertainment based on the rating that I have seen. Brace yourselves for my 2 cents.
Firstly, the plot of this film is so convoluted and confusing that it makes solving a Rubik's Cube seem like child's play. The storyline jumps haphazardly between different eras and locations, leaving the audience bewildered and unable to connect the dots. It's as if the writers were playing a game of 'Pin the Tail on the Donkey,' hoping to stumble upon a coherent narrative.
Moreover, the acting in Veera Simha Reddy can only be described as a tragic comedy. The lead actor's performance is so wooden and devoid of any emotion that it makes a cardboard cutout seem lifelike in comparison. It's as if the director thought he was casting statues instead of actors. The supporting cast fares no better, delivering cringe-worthy dialogue with exaggerated expressions that are more laughable than dramatic.
Let's not forget the special effects, or rather the lack thereof. It appears that the film's budget was solely allocated towards the lead actor's exorbitant salary, leaving nothing for decent CGI or practical effects. The fight sequences are so poorly choreographed that they resemble a clumsy dance routine gone wrong. It's truly a spectacle to behold, but not in the way the filmmakers intended.
The editing in Veera Simha Reddy deserves a special mention for its complete disregard for continuity. Scenes abruptly cut from one to another without any logical transition, leaving the audience scratching their heads in confusion. It feels as if the editor was trying to piece together a jigsaw puzzle without looking at the picture on the box, resulting in a nonsensical mess.
In conclusion, Veera Simha Reddy is a disastrous attempt at filmmaking that should be avoided at all costs. It fails to deliver on every front, from its incoherent plot and lackluster acting to its abysmal special effects and erratic editing. Save yourself the agony and spend your time and money on a movie that actually deserves your attention.

As a fan of balakrishna this is going to be out of this world can't wait man, i love his dialogues, i love his acting, i love his dance, i love his expressions, i love his style, i love his action, and i love everything about him, as a Telugu state fan we love him more than anyone in Telugu film industry, this is going to be blast I'm damn sure about it, he should make atleast one movie every year so his fans will enjoy watching him on big screens, and the background music of his films is dope i cant even explain man, i just can't wait to this movie in theatres, as a fan of balayya I'm more excited than anything 😍🔥🔥🔥

Watch if you want your IQ to decrease like Ballaya fanatics.
Story: 1/5 too old and common story nothing new. Lord narsimha was shown and respected in the story of movie along with it unwanted seducing scenes and items song were added what type of respect you are doing?
Direction: 1/5 lights, action, lights, action nothing more than that.
Cast: 1/5 not even single character was suitable to the character. Young characters were playing old character and old character was playing every character, hard to digest.
Acting: 1/5 nothing special about acting. Overacting and over dilogue were all over the movie scenes.
Dilogue: 1/5 no dialogue was impactful, every dilogue was forcely added.
Action: 1/6 the lead character was trying too hard to catch the action but he was seen forcing himself. Overaction and useless lights behind every scene.
Overall: 1/5 Nothing new, same old telugu mass movie sh¡t story, character, action and climax. Adding lord narsimha will not every time save the movie. Keep entertainment and culture away for making profits. Highly disappointing, and waste of time movie.
