The protagonists' full names are Oliver Joseph Lindley O'Toole and Shane Shannon McInerney.
The entire cast believed that the previous movie ("To the Altar") would be the final one made, so many of them took mementos home. Kristen Booth took some of her favorite "Shane" clothes and shoes, plus the necklace Shane had worn since the first episode. When Kristen learned that they would be shooting another movie, she started looking for Shane's necklace... and couldn't find it. Finally she let producers know that the necklace was lost so they could order a new one. Then, as she was packing to leave to film the new movie, she opened up one of the bags with Shane's clothes--and the necklace was at the bottom.
This movie explains what was previously a goof in the storyline continuity: when Oliver's mom left. In Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Truth Be Told (2015), Oliver says his parents divorced when he was 13. Then in Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Lost Without You (2016), Joe tells Oliver about a fight he had with Oliver's mom when Oliver was 7 or 8 and she left them shortly after it. It didn't make sense that it took them 5+ years to divorce especially because Oliver's mom left to marry another man. But in this movie Oliver explains to Shane that his mom left twice. The first time she left, she came back after a few months but then a few years later she left them for good.
On the first take of Shane walking down the aisle when Billy Joel's song 'And So It Goes' started playing Kristin Booth could not hold back from crying which ruined the take. It was not noted in the script that that was the song that would play so Kristen was taken by surprise. And she was so invested in Shane and Oliver's story that when she heard the song she could not stop her own tears at all they had been through to get to that moment.
Shane's wedding dress, veil and shoes were auctioned off at Hallmark's RomaDrama conference to raise money for the charity No Kid Hungry.
