The ghosts of the sad queen Costanza of Chiaromonte and that of Giovanni Verga meet in 2021 inside the Baronial De Capua palace in Altavilla Irpina, the town where Giovanni Verga set his novel "The Husband of Elena" and Costanza Chiaromonte found eternal love with Andrea De Capua seventh count of Altavilla. The two spirits retrace the streets of the town rekindling old memories in them. Along the way Chiaromonte and Verga meet the ghost of a miner who together with his sons lost his life working in the lattices of the sulfur quarry. Oreste (this is the miner's name) tells, through his voice, the long and interesting story of Altavilla Irpina, a town where the presence of man can be traced back to the prehistoric period, precisely to the late Iron Age.
