Cold Blows The Wind is about a couple, Tasha (played by Victoria Vertuga) and Dean (played by Danell Leyva), who hit a jogger with their car and decide to bury the man in the woods. Unfortunately for the couple, this leads them to make decisions that make things a lot worse.
Back at the house, after they take care of their "problem," strange characters start to show up, beginning with a distressed woman who claims she's being stalked by an abusive man. They hesitantly let her in, and this is where things get really fun. Briar, played by Jamie Bernadette, is super creepy and has really good chemistry with Tasha. Torry Lawrence, who plays Uncle Stevie, is just as creepy as Briar and the tension in his first scene was very well done as the suspense builds between the three. Just when you think you have this film figured out, the filmmakers throw in a twist that I appreciated.
Some of the practical effects like the one in the bathtub are really well done. What is also cool is they don't cut away, they stay on the carnage which is great for horror fans.
Cold Blows The Wind is a fun watch, and I'm impressed with what the filmmakers did with a limited budget. The production value is good, worth the watch,
