This drama is a fun one to watch and very original format and although it has some unexpected twists the story is a bit predictable.
It has a lot of exaggerated comedy but it doesn't feel forced.
The plot is intriguing and interesting and even though there's a lot of dramatic events, it doesn't become heavy because there's a lot of lighthearted moments.
I don't won't give it a 10 because I feel like the female lead is quite useless at times, I wished they had written her character with more depth and being strong and independent, I was a bit disappointed of her being rescued over and over for every male character in the drama. She is a terrific actress though. ( watched her in Sweet Home playing a very strong female character)
Overall I enjoyed it though, recommended.

This was such a delightful drama.
This series have everything: romance, comedy, drama, loss, grief, politics, little bit of thriller and what not? Usually a mixture of many genres makes a mess but that's not the case here. It's a well executed drama.
Chemistry: The chemistry was fantastic! The progression of their relationship was very nice, it was at the right pace and steady too. The couples are so cute, they relied on eachother, trusted eachother with their lives. As the story progressed, I kept on realizing how perfect they really are for each other despite their differences.
Kim Min Jae aka Moo Hak: I loved him in "Do you like Brahms?". Here he is a complete opposite character.
He is loud, kanjoos, uncultured, sometimes even silly and stupid but he is mature and adorable infact he is the most considerate amongst the so called high- educated and cultured people. He respects her lady, he knows how to make her laugh, how to wipe her tears. What a flawless character!
Park Gyu Young aka Da Li: Finally her officially first main lead role as the Da Li is just as good and convincing.
She is completely opposite of the male lead. She is wealthy but she doesn't care about money, she is smart but lacking most practical understanding.
She is elegant, delicate and extremely polite.
Kwan Yool aka Jang Tae Jin: I liked him in "Bring it on Ghost!". Here also he played a negative character very well. I like his matured and straight face.
All OSTs are peppy and soothing can be added to your playlist.
Overall, its a nice watchable drama. Give it a chance if you like Rom-Coms with strong & smart female lead and adorable male lead.
PS: Special mention should be given to the wonderful stylist and costume designers.

One of the cutest couple in kdrama that I've seen so far, they are so cute, I've laughed so hard but I also cried a lot. I totally fell in love with them, they have a lot of chemistry, definitely a must watch!

I was very impressed with this show. Both Kim Min-Jae and Park Gyu-Young were excellent and their chemistry together was awesome. I loved how Dali grew in strength and confidence and Moo Hak learned to appreciate much more than money. I think Kim Min-Jae especially has a great acting career ahead of him. He is very good at comedy and serious roles as well. Park Gyu-Young was made for the part of Kim Dali. I hope there are more shows of this caliper coming soon. This was a definite winner.
A very beautiful and heartwarming love story with good sense of humor. The main leads come from different background but they are side-by-side and always be there to overcome hardship in love and in life together. Actor and actress has remarkable chemistry, and perfectly pair up to deliver the feeling of true love. This romcom is very unique and very addictive. Kim Minjae is in another level of acting performance, showing in his gesture, tone and facial expression. Cinematography, setting, dialogue, pacing and OST are perfect. Kudo to the director, writer and all the crew.
It's not usually cliche romance type drama ! Both ML and FL are strong enough by themselves and believe in hard work! That's the beauty of this series.💖 In the other hand the visuality of KimMinJae and unique style of Park GyuYoung (Da-Li) bring this drama more highlights!! Really enjoying the plot 🖤

Good script. Terrific Main Cast, and supporting actor, Kwon Yool.
Park Gyu Young is excellent! She has managed to disappear into her character superbly. All I can see is the extremely frustrating, and at times, pathetic Dali! And then, she flips the script to show the coy, playful Dali which is endearing that I quickly forget I was just mad at her! Again, she is superb.
Now, the Charming Prince, not cocky for me... I like Kim Min Jae a lot! I like his versatility. This is a different role from 'Brahms' and 'Flower Crew' and he has delivered again!! One problem though, I always get distracted by those dimples and cute mouth.
What a performance by Kwon Yool!! He has me seeing red! If I see him right now, I will punch him so hard in the stomach! Kudos!
The supporting cast is fair to poor. The actors playing the Prince's family look like bumbling idiots trying to play bumbling idiots!
Seo Jeong Yeon, you always deliver in your roles but this one is not for you!
Hwang Hee's role.... Still waiting for his character to show me why he is here and what he can do. I am rooting for you though..... fighting!

I don't understand why this drama is not hyped as much but then again it's the ones that never get the hype that are master pieces. I love this drama from the chemistry between the leads, the storyline and the humor... I laughed through the drama. This one stole my heart for sure.

Korean Drama "Dali and the cocky prince" is a drama that nails it when it comes to esthetics. Everything was beautiful, from the paintings to the costumes, which were especially tasteful. The performances were great too, with the two main leads delightful to watch, with plenty of funny scenes and a smooth chemistry between them that sparked right from the start.
However, the drama did not offer anything new. Rather, and especially after the first half, things got predictable and boring. The drama used many cliche, and the love triangle was stale and lacked the dynamics that it should have had, considering its setting. The romance had a great pace at first, but it started rushing things after a while. The side characters were enjoyable though.
So, overall, 6 out of 10.

Everyone has ups and downs in their life. Working hard doesn't mean you are capable of everything. Business mindedness is very important in running any business which I liked most about Dali. Catching right time in bad situations and taking advantage of it is most important. This drama is quite good at advising us that bad situations too give us chance to make something good out of it.

I really enjoyed Dali and The Cocky Prince. It had a touch of unique humor where the drama wasn't afraid to laugh at itself. The first episode had a lot of English speaking, most of which was done by sub-par actors (with the exception of Dali's boss who was pretty good), and those scenes were a touch cringe and I felt like I had to push myself to get through them. After that episode the show fell into a more familiar rhythm, and I thoroughly enjoyed the lovely rom-com atmosphere. The leads had fantastic chemistry, and I loved them as a couple. The story was interesting and kept my attention, falling a bit into the melodramatic zone in the last two episodes but not to the point that it felt out of place.
The soundtrack was sweet and matched the atmosphere of the show very well. The cinematography was well done but nothing special. Overall it was a cute and fun watch, although not something I would probably re-watch. It is well worth a one-time watch though and I would recommend it to rom-com lovers!

This drama has a simple and a little predictable storyline but how the story is narrated and how the actors portrayed their characters made this series something worth the watch. The female lead has a very impressive educational background however, she's like a lead for reverse-harem animés where the male characters needs to rescue her in times of need. In this story, she has 3 male leads who protects her. But with the circumstances that happened, she eventually learned to be a better person through the main male lead. As for the male lead, I can't say anything bad because the actor did very well in bringing his character to life. He wasn't well-educated like the female lead but he's street-smart and knows how to handle things on his own, having to learn things earlier than most people due to his past. The supporting characters were also good but the actress who played Sec. Yeo was the best supporting actress IMO. Her facial expressions were very funny. All in all, if you want to watch a light-hearted romantic comedy k-drama, I highly recommend to binge watch this series and probably, you'll also would like to hear the OST of this drama because every music played were beautifully chosen to express the mood of the scene. Kudos to the cast and crew of this series.
Enjoying the drama very much as it's not all-time cliché series and all about how to stand up again from falling down!! Kinda inspireable story too!! Plus every character is giving there best!!

Watch the 1st episode and you will be hooked! The lead male actor KIM MIN JAE who plays Moo Hak, the Cocky Prince, will capture your heart right from the beginning. He is just hysterical and brings so much humor to the series, not to mention his cute good looks and arrogant but with a big heart personality. I definitely recommend watching it as it is entertaining and one of the best that I have watched in a long time. The romance is so cute and will not disappoint. I have added the lead to my favorite K-Drama list of male actors and I will be watching for more of him in the future.

The show is good enough. It is subtle and sweet. The show is not exaggerated unlike many K dramas. That's why I like it. Good main cast and they acted very well.

This is a sweet drama with some more melodramatic scenes. The characters are really funny and charismatic, especially the male lead. The chemistry between the main characters are unmatched as well. I think the casting and acting is really great too. I generally liked where the story was going, although towards the end it felt like the main couple was kind of forgotten about. At the end the story started be more about the crime part of the series. This was disappointing, because the show had a really good balance of it's different plots in the beginning, I wish they had stuck with that.
Easygoing, sweet, romantic, drama, people from different social status, family, politicians, bribery, brothers, sisters, adopted, honor, bloodline, x trying to get back together, two men fighting over same woman, overprotective, dont judge a book by its cover.
I liked Yeo Jin-goo in other series so I was curious about this one. And the good news for his fans: he plays his role as well as always and it's funny to see him as a not very intelectual person with faults. The series starts like a screwball comedy, fast and funny, but already in the second episode it loses its speed like it has lost its fuel. From now on it doesn't know well if it wants to be a parody, a crime series, thriller, drama, romance, comedy or just a big advertisement spot for cosmetic products. The advertisement is even for an asiatic series tooo much. Ok, in thai series it's worse, but in a corean drama I never saw it brutally like here. And it seems, that everything in that series is 100% for the target group of that cosmetic stick. Like in many k-drams, the soundtrack contains a small variety of 3 or 4 songs, which come again and again. Sometimes this doesn't annoy, but if the songs annoy already at the first time you hear them, it doesn't get really better if you hear them always. So it was for me this time, I started to hate them as longer I watched the drama. What irritated me most is that some figures are really serious and have to play dramatic parts and in the same moment there are figures like a parody of themselves...Tge drama doesn't really know, how serious it should be. So after all I liked only parts of it.

Edited to add this:
The more I think about it the more I appreciate this series. My comments below still feel accurate, but I think I'll definitely half to rewatch this series after perhaps half a year. It is just really good.

Although I doubt anyone is actually reading my reviews, I've started to think that spoilers are not something I want to include, so I'll try to keep this generic, while giving folks an idea of how much I enjoyed the work.
First let me note that this is not really a "light" or "fluffy" series. It has its comedic and light moments, but there is a lot of trauma and darkness as well. (More on that a bit later.)
The good stuff:
Dali and Moo-Hok are one of the cutest couples ever. Park Gyu-Young is stunning. Very much one of the most beautiful actresses I've seen. Her wardrobe for the series is quirky and very different than what we see in other Kdramas, but each outfit is so incredible and she wears them so well. Kim Min-Jae is very handsome and cute by turns, and has a boyish, joyful quality.
The acting is superb. These Korean actors just blow me away after watching American TV. (Actually we have been watching very little American TV for many years. We are watching much more TV - KDramas in particular.) The subtleties and emotion of MS Park. The energy of Mr. Kim min-Jae. Just insanely good acting. Both actors have hard roles to play without under or overdoing it, and they pull it off brilliantly.
An intelligent, elegant, mature FL. A bit dorky and ignorant ML, but with a heart of gold. A very refreshing switch up from many other KDramas we have watched.
The funny parts are really funny. The cute parts are really cute. The romantic parts are really touching.
It is a very well crafted story, compellingly told.
The OST is brilliant. The song Gift by Chai is now one of my favorite songs ever, let alone one of my favorite OST tracks. An English version is available - so touching.
Less than ideal for me, and why I give it a nine rather than a perfect 10:
This was a hard decision. I hesitated to watch the series for reasons I can't quite put my finger on. The description was somehow not compelling.
But at some point I realized Park Guy-Young was a secondary FL in in Romance Is A Bonus Book. She had quickly become my favorite character in that series! So that convinced me right away to watch Dali and Cocky prince, hoping for some of the same comedic mastery. But here she was so much more reserved, as the role demanded. As I have noted her portrayal of Dali was superb, but I guess I was hoping for more fun. This is probably a bad reason to deduct a point, but...
Also there is more darkness and trauma than I was looking for at this time, so that plays into it as well. Of course, your mileage may vary.
But it is a great show. Unless you rally just need something consistently light a fluffy, please watch it.

I can't think of another actress that could've played Da Li. She brought a lot of character and identity to the drama and made it stand out. The same thing can be said about the ML although him being too loud began to get on my nerves over time. However, I found the romance in general to be questionable. At every transition and development in the relationship, there was a clear unnatural progression to their romance. From their first kiss to opening up to traumas and the subsequent events of their relationship. I really liked that one signature background soundtrack that they kept playing but they completely stopped using it in the second half which was really unfortunate because it fit the the vibes perfectly.
From the beginning, we can see if Dali is the smartest student, a very hard worker. Then why she can't handle everything and act so stupidly weak. It's annoying for some reason. Everything seems so much forcing the story.
Honestly I mostly watch kdramas ongoing nowadays cz literally there's no good kdrama left for me to watch but I didn't know when this one aired. I m on ep 8 rn and I m laughing out loud while watching a drama after so long. The way he mispronounces every English word and idioms r so effortlessly funny. He slept into the coffin for the women he loved haha. I hope it doesn't get boring beyond ep 10 11. Fingers crossed!
